  as i faded over the past year, i still went to some meetings each month, and my wife always likes to sit (pretty much alone) near the front of the hall.

  although there in body, i could just not stand to keep listening so i decided to start writing a book.

  action/adventure/suspence revolving around a worldwide effort to end islamic extremist terrorism.

  so i was talking with an girlfriend that i had (actually the only friend i had in 'the truth').

  we have recently reconnected, and she's still on the fence as to whether or not to go back into the org.

  however, her aunt, an elder's wife and all-around snot rocket, let her know what was going on in the truth (i'm guessing to get her to come back full-time cause 'look at all that's happening, and it's the end!

  Since everything is about money the answer always cmes by following the money.

  There is no money in printing literature. That is why the quality and quantity continues to go on a downward spiral. They can easily send worker home to poineer. It serves two purposes. 1 - They no longer have th oay for the upkeep of the slaves and 2 - there is a possiblity that the efforts of the poineers will increase donations.

  So where is the money? The money comes by using free labor and free or low cost building materials to build homes and then taking the insurance money from the homeowners.

  I was an elder for a few years. If I was to be put into a category I was closest to a "robot." Once I understood the truth about the "truth." I started a long term fade that is absolutely completed.

  Prior to being an elder I was the accounts servant for many years. I work as an auditor and think I brought a lot of organiztional skills to the table. So, I gues you could say that they lost some valuable skills when they lost me.

  Do you think that JW's will ever get rid of the "1914" doctrine?

  with the year 2014 only 7 years away what are jw's leaders going to say if armaggeddon is not here by then?

  how many more changes will have to take place in order for them to keep jw's loyal to the wt society?

  my mom just celebrated her 78th birthday on sept 9 and she got baptized in 1967 believing armaggeddon was coming in 1975. i just cry when i think of the elderly jw's that gave their whole lives for the wt believing that armaggeddon was around the corner.

  They don't have to get rid of it. Just ignore it. Over time those that based their faith on 1914 will die. Those that come along over time will not know that 1914 was ever such a big deal. Time heals all.

  What kinds of fading techniques have you used?

  some of you may have seen my post in jedi masters topic but if you haven't i will re-post it here:.

  i'm new to the site, my wife and i are are doing the fade we still have a son and daughter-in-law who are still in so we don't want to get hung.

  i was an elder for 25 years and was removed because i didn't agree with the gb on an important issue and spoke privately and with trust to another elder who broke that trust and told the other elders and co about my disagreement.

  Do the double move. Move from cong #1 to cong#2 in good standing. Start your fade in cong#2. Once the fade is fully entrenched, move to cong#3. Elders are not smart enough to connect the dots.

  ok, slowly awakening and fading at the same time for two years now, and did not plan it.

  i tell my wife last night i have been having some interesting e-mails with my dad about the qb from the sept km we are to study this week.

  she says she has read it, but does not remember it.

  Does anyone remember when women could be servants in the congregation?

  this was before the elder arrangement.

  in the 1950's our congregation servant's wife handled the accounts--by appointment from the society.

  in the early 1960's it was a practice to allow a sister to handle the congregation book study if there was a shortage of brothers.
