  One Wasted Night

  once, when i was studying, my upline moved out of the territory.

  he suggested that it would be good if i stayed one night at his new apartment, at which he worked as manager (and maintenance person).

  so i accepted the invitation.. turns out that i spent the better part of the afternoon working alongside him on a project, so he could get back out in field circus.

  It may have been a waste of time for you but your up line manager was able to book at least 15 hours of fs time for those two days.

  clam brought up the subject of "sell by dates" on food.

  so maybe the wbts should date all their "spiritual" food.

  if they'd only done that with 1975...and think of all the other "food" that's out there but is spoiled and no longer edible by the flock?

  Gun Fire IN CLEVELAND HIGH SCHOOL

  cleveland (ap) -- a gunman opened fire in a downtown high school on wednesday, and five people were taken to a hospital, the mayor said.. mayor frank jackson said three young people and two adults were hurt.

  successtech academy had been secured and there was only one suspect, he said.. "they have the shooter," jackson said.

  he did not elaborate.. ronnell jackson, 15, said he saw the shooter running down a school hallway.. "he was about to shoot me but i got out just in time," he said.. another student, doneisha levert, said she heard the principal say "code blue" over the public address system, and the students started running.

  you could have stupid new light every week published and the vast majority aren't going anywhere.

  you could see proof of contradiction after contradiction right in front of your nose, if you're a witness.

  and you still won't budge.. the reason: mental and spiritual laziness.

  I agree, the average jw will not leave for all the reasons you describe. However, keep in mind that as the best continue to leave the average keeps getting lower and lower.

  Sell By Dates - Do You Take Much Notice of Them?

  sell by and use by dates on food produce seem to have become the norm these days.

  on one side we have the squeaky clean supermarkets with their dating system, while on the other side is a combination of media scare stories about listeria, salmonella etc.

  and voracious food standards authorities.

  My father was a cheepskate. He would always buy dented cans and expired produce because these items were on sale. I vowed never to repeat the same behavior. I want to eat good food.

  This reminds me of a joke that my father told many many times:

  "If I knew I would live so long I would have taken better care of myself."

  I am a 50 yo man and was promised that I would be in paradise before my 18th birthday.

  I ALWAYS check the date. Instinctively, I go to the back of the counter when I reach for milk, eggs or any other perishable. It never occurred to me that someone would not check the date. I think the bible talks about this in Genesis or one of those first few books.
