Only dumb, gullible people are or still remain as Jw's. How my family got hooked on this is hard to believe? Both parents are well educated. One side of the family is in the other side is out for good. With the flow of information how can anyone be A Jw with a straight face? It's just crazy.

In my teenage years I gave a young fellow sister a ride to school and I was accused of Brazen Conduct just for helping someone out. Alot of nerve of people.

My Jw upbringing was a horrible experience. It took years of professional help to shake off the damage that Watchtower caused. Watchtower 's ideal of dealing with depression is to do more for Watchtower and that will magically take care of your depression. Don't bother going to a professional because they don't know what they are talking about and if you do we will shun you. After going to a professional, it was made clear that Watchtower is toxic and is the problem.

History repeated: pre-1975 trend of selling homes to ‘downsize’

i think the reason for this is that the 1975 fiasco is never mentioned in the jw religion.
nobody mentioned it to me when i came in the years after.. the problem with this is that all the sad stories were never told (or hushed up) of people who sold off homes, etc.

Longhairgal- frequently I get "brothers" I know (some sisters) will be at my business and encourage me to return to the "Truth". Then, in another breath ask for money or a loan or pitch a business ideal that they need funding for. I tell them I'm not a bank. I don't give out loans. Some even tell me that it is my obligation to help my brother because I have more then he does, so I can give!?! I have helped some find jobs ( disappointment to my good name and theirs) so I don't anymore. All these people want is a hand out and don't want to work. Very sad shape.

Since I was looked down upon for going to college and getting an education and now these same brothers say that I should " share " my wealth with them. Such nerve. Where were they when I was working long hours putting my business together? Not all of them but most of those who ask who ask for a hand out, sorry, you have to work like I do.

There was a KM that encouraged and gave examples of how one's sold their property pre 75 to pioneer. I'm glad my parents had the business sense not to fall for that crap or I would be in a real poor house. And yet people to this day with their head up their dark area, still give money and control to Watchtower.!?!

There is no mercy for stupidity. If someone told you not to plan ahead and you followed it and things went bad(bad investment) don't come running to me for help. After all, I was discouraged to get an education and my career path, even looked down on. An now, these same people want a hand out?! They can pound sand!

That works for you to write A DA letter , I sometimes wish I would of wrote one. But would be real simple. It would say " Go Screw yourself " or " Piss off" but I gave them my answer with my feet.

Caleb & Sophia - The Watchtower gets weirder
by Listener inthe latest video release 4/4/22 (lesson 44 'don't give up') in the comic series of caleb & sophia just got weirder.
the plot is about caleb & sophia preaching door to door, caleb with his father and sophia with her mother.
it shows each of them having doors slammed on them four times.

When I was younger an forced to do field circus. There was a brother that I always worked with. On just about every corner of the block was a trash can that was covered. When no one was looked in went the offer for the month. We "placed" alot of magazines but not even talked to anyone.
