Like many here on this site. I was at a convention an something was said that just did not compute. At the meetings I started to question myself as to what was said. It was very uncomfortable. Since I was still a minor and living under my parents roof I had to put up with many unanswered questions. "Geehovah will answer your questions in time" "Wait on Geehovah, " Don't Run ahead of Geehovah's Chariot " was the response I got. I came to the conclusion that this is BS. Wish my family would wake up from this cult.

How many of you remember the "Pioneer Shuffle " and the special "time reporting" of pioneers?
by Foolednomore ini started pioneering in my late teens an remember how slow pioneers would walk to the doors while out in circus.
also, they would not really talk to anybody at all.
they would start their time as soon as they got dressed an out the door, while us regular shucks started our time at the first door we knocked at.

I'm glad that I quit and followed my gut that told me that the whole Jw thing was BS! I'm semi-retired. Own a house, an no longer enslaved to a cult. Wish my family would wake up but that is a different story. They would have to see it for themselves. One day they will be at the meeting or convention, an something will be said and it just will not compute, then it will be wake up time like it was for me.

My pioneering only lasted three days. I quit got a real job.

Watchtower says you can be Disfellowshiped for being Fat!
by Witness 007 inwatchtower 1974 p.167 "by disobediently over indulging in food and making a glutton of himself he shows no love for jehovah..in the presents of others does he ignore their needs and selfishly take more then his fair share?
is he grossly overweight gorging himself?
does he feel uncomfortable even getting sick...this person has no place in the congregation of god...they will not inherit gods kingdom.".

Pat Robertson makes one last ''doomsday prediction''
by RULES & REGULATIONS inpat roberston,92, comes out of his million dollar mansion ( which his loyal followers paid for ) to continue his doomsday prediction.
pat needs to make one last appearance to show his followers he was right all along.
after all his failed predictions on his ''700 club,'' pat needs to show his followers that this ''doomsday prediction'' is a bible prophecy.

I too consider myself as non religious more of a Buddhist, new age. I find groups like Jwism and others that don't serve any real purpose to the community as parasites and to be avoided.

Why do you call yourselves "apostates?"
by Marbles inwell let me clarify the question.
i know you call yourselves apostates because the bible defines people who leave their previously held beliefs as apostates.
my question means, if the bible is not true (and i don't think it is) then there is no such thing as an apostate.i have never been a jw, only a bible student with them.

Apostate seems to fit in Watchtower world. And name calling is so High School.

Are They Letting the Organization Go?
by pistolpete ininteresting idea by;.
fabian strategy warrior.
to many of you, this idea might seem absurd, but is it?.

This was my problem with the Borg. I would study and start having questions. When I would go to an elder with a question, I would get the usual " Wait on Geehovah " or " That's getting Close to being Apostasy " just over questions.

04-2022 Q from Readers on Divorce
by Rattigan350 inany comments on the 04/2022 question from readers on divorce and remarriage.. "if a christian divorces his wife without scriptural grounds and then marries another person, how does the congregation view the previous marriage and the new marriage?".
why does that even matter how the congregation views anything?
they should be minding their own business.. if people move to a different area, the congregation wouldn't even know about.. (if a guy remarries a woman with the same first name, she would end up with the same name and no one would know).

I was Divorced from abusive partner. The congregation, the elders told me that I could not remarry. If I would remarry it would not be scriptural. This reason #15 why I'm no longer a Jw.

Why the King of South (USA) is in the Northern Hemisphere?
by pistolpete inthere's been a lot of talk among jws, that this is it with russia (king of the north) pushing and shoving against the (king of the south usa).
but look at the world map below on the link, and notice that usa is in the northern hemisphere.. meaning the king of the south must be none other than -----------argentina .
that's so funny that jws still can't figure it out that they are being conned to the max.

Bible writers and Watchtower have poor sense of direction. 140 years of wrong predictions. Need I say more.

Another made up story by Watchtower, as usual.
