This is a Watchtower definition. I No longer want to be a Jw because of fraud and misleading advice from Watchtower.
My friends don't care that I use to be a Jw neither does my family. This their rules, I got my own life.

What Makes You an Apostate?

i disassociated back in 2019 and my parents have not spoken with me since then.
my brother who never got baptized kind of serves as a liaison between me and my parents as they will not contact me directly.

New light

there is so much confusion now.. if we can talk to disfellowshiped/disassociated ones to invite them to meetings then is it really going to stop there?.
some family members haven’t had contact for decades and now after yesterdays new light they will all be getting calls.

New light on shunning?

he actually said the words we will never ever change it.. they are slowly deleting all of tony’s videos and now losing court cases and losing government hand outs in places like norway.. it’s looking very likely they will release new light on shunning policy after losing this latest one in norway.. .
what are the odds they coincidentally get new light from jehovah and lighten up their shunning policy ?.

They can change their Shunning Policy all they want. The Damage is down. I have found that I just don't need Watchtower or Jw's anymore. My life is Great!

Elderly and sick: Out of sight, out of mind
by Captain Schmideo2 insomeone else posted something a similar experience, this is one i had regarding my mom.my mom died last year.
she had been in failing health for years, but the last 2 year were pretty rough for her, with lots of visits to the hospital.
the last 4 months, it was the hospital, a skilled nursing facility/rehab unit, and finally, a nursing home.

No worries, I'm the Executive of the Estate. Any change or money goes out of our accounts needs my approval. I had my mom's control of the estate signed to me.

There is one "Brother" in the area who is taking interest in our mother. Now my mother has early signs of Dementia and is the Benefactor of the Estate. This Brother would love to get his hands on the Estate and everything there in. It's a good thing the Villa has a lock gate and this guy just can't come walking in, but he sure tries.
