  my question, why would one immigrate to the west and refuse to adopt the western cultural?.

  if you believe our way of life is so degenerated why bring your family to this place.. in a very close 5-4 vote, the city of irving ruled to back the texas state bill banning foreign.

  I can think of a few people here who might benefit from watching a few School House Rock videos about how a Bill becomes a Law?
  
  Maybe pick up a book now and again - or how about this - GOOGLE How Laws Are Made in the USA.

  You have to be a moron if you think Sharia Law is coming to a town near your.

  Really this is so so stupid - just leave us alone and go watch your Alex Jones videos on YouTube about how the government's making millions of Black Plastic Coffins for when the UN comes to kill all Americans.

  Or better yet - go back to the Kingdom Hall.

  That is such a baseless ignorant statement.

  Individuals can do whatever they want - but to say something like - the constitution of the USA will be trashed and the 100,000 laws on the books will be wiped out - and the 0.9% of muslims in the USA will somehow override the 70% christian and the 29.9% of others in the country to abide by a different law code - is just BATSHIT crazy.

  LIsaRose - as Trump is teaching us - proof, facts, reason are not important nor required.

  i didn't know this but there is a way to calculate the minimum population required for a certain species to survive over the next 100 to 1000 years.

  this is called the "minimum viable population".. genesis states that 2 (or 7) of each "kind" went into the ark.

  supposing that each "kind" means each "species", and they all could fit in the ark, and they came out safely, most of the species would have died, because it is impossible to survive, long-term, with a starting population of 2.this is interesting:"an mvp of 500 to 1,000 has often been given as an average for terrestrial vertebrates when inbreeding or genetic variability is ignored.

  It is similar to how a Frustrated father - who has no education - no career - and feels powerless outside the home - becomes a tyrant with his kids (the one place the he can have control and make him feel in power over something) and wife in the home.

  And at the Hall - these type of elders all have the same thinking "they are the hand of god to exercise judgment" not be there out of love and kindness to help.

  Why do so many JW's argue that they do not believe what they clearly do?

  i ask a question recently, which was why do jw's not salute the flag, and i ask what page of the bible directs this practice.. all i got back was that i do not know what i am talking about and that they are allowed to do this, when i dropped 40000 google links proving that they do not salute the flag they just deleted it as though my proof could not exist.

  seriously this is common knowledge, my neighbor just put up a flag to keep the guy across the street away.

  so are there jw's who have no clue what they believe, or should believe?

  Hidden message in JW bunker video?

  so, i was speaking with a relative recently, who is "in" the borg, but is completely aware of the terrible hypocrisy from the gb down.

  he is not in the box, and its great to be able to have a realistic, and logical discussion about the current state of the org.. we started discussing, specifically, about that bunker video that was released in december.

  how it is being played at all the conventions.

  The relative I spoke to, said that the reaction of MANY at the conventions, after seeing this video, is one of "Wow the end must REALLY be here". Or " The society must really be trying to tell us something here ".

  I have heard that since I was a kid in the 70's

  Maybe if something like - WW3 was going on - or suddenly the UN became a independent military giant (and not an almost powerless multi=national gripe fest) or all world religion was banished.

  Then you could say - hey folks - better be ready.

  But since not only is that never happen - it will NEVER happen - this is same message as alway with Bad Acting- and Canned Video Clips.

  At least we are not other religions that just appeal to emotions:)

  I've had enough..

  so last night, after thinking "wow those pesky elders have finally left me alone, maybe since i skipped out on their jc invitation back on august 1st they've given up" wrong.. i go to check the mail and there's an envelope at my front door- lo and behold, another letter from from these elders.. why won't they leave me alone already?

  i'll attach a picture of the letter.. again, same letter as the first one inviting me to a judicial committee on august 15th - and signed by all three elders.. should i just continue to ignore?

  quite frankly i don't give a rats arse i've been enjoying life free from the mind control of the organization, and i just wish they would drop it and let me live life.. like i mentioned before, i am moving to a new home next week, the only reason these elders have my current address ( which happens to be over 100 miles away from the cong ) is because my mother gave it to them, after i gave it to her in confidence to forward me my mail.. so lets just say she won't be getting my new address... i don't have any contact with ones from this congregation (i'm an ex pioneer, so i'm sure if they've gotten word on what i'm doing, i must be satan himself!

  FYI - Raven you have the right to know anyone who accuses you of anything.

  So don't stand for an anonymous person if it comes down to you actually wanting to meet with them or they moving forward with any punitive action.
