Expected pain

last week was a big week for me in terms of coming totally clean to my wife and her being more than on board to leave the jw’s with me.

we know what to expect but things happen from family and it still hurts just as bad.

last night my wife got a long text message from her brother that has seemed to be in the fence and he told her that same guilt tripping rhetoric that the wt uses about life in the paradise etc.

Why play into their hand with dissociating or making it easy to be DFed?

a few years back i was in a meeting between fades and it was the co visit.

he said something i thought was crazy and a lot of jws buy into this mentality.

i don't remember the talk but he asked this question.. what if this isn't the truth?

Its been 3 years since I have stopped going to meetings, and about 7 since I figured out it was all BS.

I still can't deal with not only losing 4 decades +, but knowing that my best years are all behind and that death is really the end.

On top of that, I am loosing what is most important in the world to me other than my 2 kids.

On top of that, decades of "doing the least you need to do to just get by, while working for the lord" is a habit really hard to break.

I am not coping well at all.

We had a D.O. maybe 6 or 7 years back at an assembly actually come out and say that - if this ISNT the truth - we are all wasting our time.

So many witness say "if it isnt it is still the best way of life."

He disagreed with that premiss.

It was refreshing. (though of course he felt it was the truth).

Not viewed as a JW if not reported for 6 months?

hi, i seem to remember that the society have said that you are not viewed as a witness if you have not reported for 6 months.. does this ring any bells?

someone i know has been called for a judicial, even though she has said she doesn’t believe and is not not attending meetings and hasn’t for 6 months.what she did was 12 months ago when she was a witness.. she is not sure whether she should turn up or not, as turning up shows she thinks she answers to elders still.

but also doesn’t want to be automatically disfellowshipped which may happen if she doesn’t turn up.. if there is an article to quote saying someone inactive isn’t seen as a witness, this would be helpful.. any thoughts?.

No this is not true at all.

You are inactive.
It will be the elders mission "when the CO reminds them" to REactivate you.

If only it were so easy.

someone you looked up to some who did something amazing?.

i live in new zealand and 1 of mine is sir edmound hillary,a great yet humble man.. he and tenzing norgay were the 1st to reach the top of mt everest.it went to the grave with both of them who put there foot on top 1st,neather of them reviled that.. he did alot for the sherpa's of napal making sure they were payed well for their work as well as setting up schools there.. he came to my school and gave a speech then walked around the play ground talking to us children,his phone number was in the phone book and he would talk to anyone that rang him partially children doing a project on everest.. the british tryed to say that mallory and irvine may have made it to the top of everest years before,hillarys reply.....they may have but i made it down again.. karter..

1. a warning for illegal coaching (subsequently admitted by williams's coach).

2. a point penalty for smashing her racquet.

in california, in and out burger, democrats were being told not to support the chain because they donated to republicans.. will politics affect your spending habits?.

i saw a topic on another forum where a sister was supposedly carrying the mics.

i was curious if this was even possible?

is it new light or just a lie?.

It is possible. Sister can do other functions as well. Like working behind the counter.

The caveat is there MUST be NO brothers who could be qualified to do the work.
