at meeting yesterday a thought came to me - my mind was wandering most of the session as it was so boring - about how the jws say that god will put it into the hearts of the political leaders to overturn religion at the start of the great tribulation.

they also claim this about maneuvered events in the ot too.

jws also claim that when someone has the right heart condition, they come to find jah.

Yes Tinker you are right.

On that same line, god has to put it into the minds of the nations to turn on his people??? So god has to take away the Free Will of the nations to do something (they would have not done) attack JWs? god makes people do evil things? Really? How is that just? How does that answer anything? Why not just put it in their hearts to worship god?

just astonishing.. when i was a child we were taught that fossils were nothing more than mineral ghosts of ancient bones.

even the protein structures can be studied using high resolution mass spectrometry.

this will allow researchers to study the evolution of proteins.

All I can say is when our CO gave that talk, I wanted to vomit. I also know it did not go down well with everyone, but the masses who are under the spell eat it up.

The worst part was the last one.

Noah's Ark

so i'm reading the book "the atheist book of bible stories" and something just occurred to me.. noahs ark rested on the top of mount ararat.

how the hell did all the land animals, dinosaurs and other monsters get to ground level?

did noah and his family just push them off the mountain and hope for the best?

Even as a kid I had a hard time understanding why if god was mad at what, thousands or a few hundred thousand people in the middle east, why he he needed to kill all the bunnies and squirrels on continents on the other side of the world? How then could there be any law in the mosaic set of laws that dealt with animal cruelty? And how is killing trillions of innocent animals fair or needed for what a hand full of people were doing?
How is that not an over reaction by an evil god?

I love the Ass speaking! I find it so amazing - no one askes - Hmmm - if they guys donkey just started to talk to him, do you think maybe he would have reacted differently than to have a conversation back with it?
Or did all donkeys talk back then?

You know you could swap out that story and put Jack and the Beanstalk in - and no one would blink an eye.

Is this the earliest WT reference to 1975?

i thought that the 1975 thing started in the mid to late 60's, but it seems the seeds were sown two decades earlier.is this the earliest reference to it?.

I was really smart of god too have Noah kill one of each of the some of the "clean" animals so as to make a great kiss but sacrifice to the big guy in the sky. I guess wiping our 50 million species of animals just wasnt enough death for our humble and loving god? He needed a few more.

Amazing, considering how difficult it is today with near extinct species to get to to mate and have a healthy offspring. I guess god made sure the unclean animals (since there were only 2 each) had perfect animal sex - and there never happened to be an accident - nor a hungry predator near them?

Just shows us our god is an awesome god!
