Data Dog: whenever they ask a legitimate question and knowingly address it with a lie, they always use the ol' exclamation point!

Also anytime a publication says"evidently" ( it means there is NO evidence) or - "no doubt" there is compete doubt. Always watch for those words because you know compete BS will follow.

Every meeting and article makes me feel like a character in the novels - Fahrenheit 451, or 1984. I left out Brave New World because that society encouraged sex and that and you should have as much as possible, so that does not fit in to the JW Cult teachings.

Can somebody explain the songs and songbook obsession?

i've been out a while and have only put in a rare appearance at a memorial or brief visit at a convention/assembly to keep people off my back, so i haven't kept up on the songbook.

but one thing i've noticed that the org.

has been doing that they never did when i was in is all these "supplemental songs" that keep appearing.

I think it would be interesting if you sent an email to your husbands elder friend explaining the lunch in 1 sentence as you just did. Then say why didn't the "JW" just come up and talk to him instead of going to you "the elder" - was she afraid?

So if meetings were so important and we should have them 2 or 3 times a week, why was there no reference at all to actual meetings with the some structure, and were 1st century christians pressured to not work, or travel if there was a meeting? And how often was it more than maybe a house hold, and someone near by?
