What did being a JW teach you?

these are some of the things the wbt$ 'taught' me:.

dishonesty is fine if it's to trick people into joining the cult.. if your spouse stops believeing, the best thing you can do is break up the family.. the laws of the governing body overrule any other laws...or else!.

my friends are conditional.. avoid loving people, they'll only let you down or get df'd.. unintelligent dumbos are better than intelligent ones if the dumbos are elders or above.. hate is better than love.. i am not good enough and god will probably enjoy killing me.. demons will appear in my room at night.. ignore practicallity if being practical or loving prevents the leaders getting money or praise.. god hates.

Predictions for 2016

so, it's that time of year again.

here's a few of my predictions.

1: Bad things will happen in the world, and it will be a sign of how close we are to the end.

2: Gay rights will continue to progress, and it will be a sign of how close we are to the end.

3: JW atrocities will come to light by the Satan Controlled media, and it will be a sign of how close we are to the end.

4: Scientific progress will continue to move to solutions to health and world problems, and it will be a sign of how close we are to the end. (since they dont put their eggs in gods kingdom)

5: Huge humanitarian efforts will happen, and it will be a sign of how close we are to the end.

It has been 100% established that until the human brain finishes development, what we see as Teen High Risk behavior is just going to happen. No amount of praying or meetings will change the way a teen brain works.Though teens understand the risk involved with some action (like sex) as an adult would, their thinking of the reward is way way higher than and adult. Thats one of the reasons kids do stuff that doesn't make sense.Its like condemning someone who is 5ft for not being able to Dunk a Basketball!!
So if god is suposed to help you to not be tempted beyond what you can handle, why are so many being DFed?
Is he taking a break? Where was he for this girl?
Oh I see - if you dont sin - god helped you - if you do sin - you didn't let god help you.

2014 - 100 years of "kingdom rule". Many were in expectation for something big to happen

We had drummed into us before the BIG CONVENTION that this was going to be the most important event of our lives (guess baptism, marriage, first kid, didnt cut the mustard). And we spend countless hrs making tchotchke to give away to the international visitors. Then It came and went. HMMM my life didn't change much, did yours? Did anyones? The HISTORIC event was just like the conventions when we went to stadiums, just with more people.

We also had the NEW BIBLE! THE GAME CHANGER! Did anything change? No. The cry wolf effect has kicked in I think.

P.S. The tactic of we have to keep the R&F busy all the time with new crap so they don't notice 2014 has come and gone, is not working for everyone apparently.

Jephthah's atrocity

in judges chapter 11 we read that jephthah committed an atrocity by offering his daughter in sacrifice.

however, the watchtower, study edition of april 2016, reads:pages 6 and 7:not only was jephthah a mighty warrior but he was a student of gods dealings with his people.

jephthahs thorough grasp of israels history gave him a clear picture of what was right and what was wrong in jehovahs eyes.
