  Generation expiry date?

  how long will it take for a jw to see that even the overlapping generation is wrong?.

  the org waited and waited to see if their interpretation of it came true.

  those alive in 1914 would still be alive obviously it didn't and jws have to believe in an overlapping generation.

  I am expecting that they are building a bridge so that they can refer to the 120 year period in Noah's days and will point to 2034.

  Already did that with SPLAIN THE BRAIN's Chart.

  Prince died from overdose?

  i just saw where the emergency landing that prince made several days ago in moline was due to an opiate overdose.

  this came from tmz and sounded pretty credible.

  if true, just curious if he would still be given a jw funeral, if that is what he wanted..

  The revised outline is intended to help speakers deliver funeral discourses of greater warmth and comfort to the audience while still giving a fine witness that honors “the God of all comfort.”

  I don't think the OUTLINE DOES ANY SUCH THING.

  In the instructions at the bottom of the outline is where the help comes from.

  While not overpraising the deceased, you may use events from his life throughout the talk to show how those in attendance can benefit from his example.

  But how many Elders will be able to actually do it? Speaking in complete sentences is a prerequisite - and how many can actually formulate thoughts and words on their own without a script given to them?

  I find the comments at the bottom of the outline and the letter very telling.

  I am glad I did the right thing and made those Talks about the PEOPLE who had died, and about comfort for the family, and NOT a recruitment speech.

  We need to use “thinking ability” and “discernment” to identify “the man speaking perverse things” and those “whose entire course is devious.”

  How you may ask?

  Some feel that they must bring it to the attention of others to get their opinion, but all that does is propagate the malicious information.

  Use your thinking ability to not see what others may say about this event.

  we should ask Jehovah for wisdom and speak to mature brothers about it.

  So you should talk to elders so they can tell you to ignore it.

  THAT'S REALLY USING YOUR THINKING ABILITY!

  first off i do believe there are some evidences of evolution or i should probably say adaptation.

  i do believe this exists in various forms.. however the deal breaker for me with evolution is the chick or egg problem.

  there are tons of theories that get passed around as proof of evolution however these are usually examples much further down the evolutionary chain.. what i mean is let's start at the beginning!
