  Absolute blind obedience. No accountability.

  it's interesting to observe that in all aspects of life, leaders are accountable to those they lead.. politicians must fulfil their promises, or they are replaced from government.. business corporate leaders like ceos must perform, or they are replaced.. sports coaches and trainers must win, or they are replaced.. yet there are leaders who have often been wrong, have made serious ,mistakes and failed predictions that have impacted the lives of millions.. they have dictated decisions for the lives of millions, yet they can't even be questioned...even in a sincere or polite manner..

  In that "article" this stood out to me.

  Often, those who for a time slow down or stop in their worship have not abandoned their faith but are suffering from discouragement. Rather than shunning such ones, we try to give them consolation and support.

  Having been a long time elder - this is as far from the truth as possible.

  And I am experiencing the opposite (of support or consolation) along with my family currently. And for what? Not going to meetings.

  I don't know why you don't think they just bought the rights to use what ever clip they want?
  So much of the convention videos include stock video clips you can buy for $100 bucks - why would you think they would steal music from some artist. Or they might have bought the sheet music and paid the fee to reproduce it.

  If you add all you find in the bible about Israelites and christians, and then add JWs, their sole contribution to the progress of man through invention and discovery = MEPS.

  this great video explains what critical thinking really is, and why it is a skill all humans need to employ in daily life.. the expression had been distorted by the society to something that is negative or wrong, yet that is far from the case.....

  But my brother if you teach people how to think critically it will damage the faith of the friends who will not be equipped to detect - BS - Foolish Nonsense - False Arguments - Circular Logic - and recognized false predictions for what they are!

  the claim has been made that the gb is the faithful and discreet slave.

  especially was this highlighted during the agm (when the silver bible was released).. but are they now saying that this "appointment" isn't happening until the "great tribulation"?.

  Before I got out - I just drove around with my family to the same Tired Calls I had for years - went for coffee - and usually got home early.

  During Tract campaigns - rarely rang any bells and also did fake knocking.
