  Nephew’s JW Fiancée Begins Conversion to Judaism Due to Passover Date

  it’s been a while since i posted, but for those who remember, i came on here to get some information about jehovah’s witnesses because i have a nephew who was getting engaged to a girl who was a jehovah’s witness and, along with some other sites, i was recommended this one.. since then we’ve been busy with passover and jehovah’s witnesses have had something they call the memorial of christ’s death (i believe i have that right).

  this clashing of the two observances apparently did more for this girl than anything else i ever saw in our months of conversations with her.. respectfully, jews do not proselytize.

  these are people who, of their own desire, “join the tribe” after some years of study and practice--something this girl has just begun to do.

  When during a meeting you hear a "sister" happily comment about how great it will be when soon god will eliminate all the wicked, and you know that that WILL INCLUDE her unbelieving HUSBAND NIECES NEPHEWS and other family, and most family of everyone one sitting in the seats around you.

  As you look around at the smiling faces - you think WTF - do they know what they are asking for?
  You realize they are ok with everyone dead so they can have a life without responsibility and eat Grapes the size of Mellons.

  That exact thing happened to me, and I got so upset and sad I had to walk out.

  You realize that Studying the Watchtower really takes about 10 minutes and it's the same old stuff all the time.

  When you realize that when people say how loving god is because "god didnt have to make food taste good - or make different colors" is not proof that he is loving or even exists and is just sooooooo sooooo stupid.

  its been awhile since i've commented but i come by and read your posts about once a week.

  so why do i need a pep talk ?

  after almost 2 years into my fade these bastards won't give it a rest constant hang ups on my answering machine and today for the first time in about 6 months they come to my apartment complex but thankfully couldn't get in they did keep buzzing me so they were here looking for me.

  Just keep dodging them. Nothing else you can do really.

  If they do corner you, just say you have been dealing with depression and are not up to talking, thank them for their care, but even though they think they are trying to help, it increases your anxiety. Let them know you will reach out to them when you feel ready.

  • The idea of a worldwide flood start sound completely crazy
  • It's hard to keep coming up with excuses of why evolution is wrong
  • You wonder why God's message is so sucky that only a small minority of people have ever adopted it
  • You wonder how loving God can kill billions of people who've never heard of him and how that's his best solution for happy world
  • You stop feeling guilty about watching porn

  My impressions of the cart witnessing

  i have watched tons of youtube videos of our exjdub friends approaching and talking to the jdub manikins at their carts as they give a great witness to the world by sipping their hot lattes, updating their social media, chit chatting to each other, and the most important thing of getting their time in, counting their hours.. when the jw's see someone approach with a camera they do several things, they will turn their backs on the person, or look at the person with a frown and act like the person isn't even there.

  the witlesses refuse to answer simple, clear, and precise questions.

  when i was an elder i loved to get into discussions and debates with trinitarians, priest, clergymen and those who were born again.

  Such a strategic move by the WT.
  
  Create a SUPER easy way for followers to count time - not interact with people - and have such an easy story to spin how you want to.
  
  They can make any kind of story up about how great Tart Witnessing is without any verification.

  You are sadly 100% right about the unexpected collateral damage.
  There is no predicting how things play out.
  With me I needed to get my 2 kids out before their lives were ruined, so any cost would have not changed my path.

  The older I get the more angry I become!

  i did some self-reflection today trying to determine why, with every passing day, i become angrier against the watchtower company.

  i am in my 70's and my health is failing.

  at first, i thought it was because "worldly" people couldn't care less about jdubs and the little world they live in even though the witlesses think that the earth revolves around them and their desert god who was originally worshipped by the cainites.
