I did a google search for the pictured French actress and found this photo:
Admittedly a different photo shoot, hairstyle and clothing, but quite similar to the Stern photo.
is it an original from the graphics department?.
anyone know?.

elder friend of mine texted me asking what my rc attendance was 2 weeks ago (family and i streamed it since wife is not well).
he told me that his rc in the jersey city assembly hall last weekend was low.
co told them that around 2600 were the total from 16+ congs that were assigned.
I think there is a way to view a generic session (not your own assigned convention), which the OP might be referring to
i ran across this episode of jay leno's garage on youtube today.
all i know is it seems very similar to j f rutherford's much-vaunted 16-cylinder cadillac.

Good question, JFR’s may not have been a V16. The video said they made a V8 on the same body design. Even so, the image published in a WT publication during the depression says a lot about him and his sense of entitlement.
for the record, $6500 in 1930 equates to around $135,000-140,000 today.is it an original from the graphics department?.
anyone know?.
Do you know which publication…
sbf, it was a wall sized mural in a KH in Midwest US. The building was sold some years ago and is now a daycare

In the video, the owner said the car had been in NJ and NY, and he didn’t know when or how it made the way to S California. He seemed to know a bit of its history. Maybe a comment on the youtube would bring a response from a larger audience

I had a close acquaintance who was a trained artist who later went to Brooklyn Bethel art department. The way he drew images was to have a photo or other image to copy from. That is the way he got the perspective and angles right. For instance he wanted to have three deer in a mural (I was the gopher for him on the project), and all he had at hand was one photo to work from, so all three deer had the same body posture and leg positioning.
The beast and harlot image from the Revelation book is certainly original, but it is likely that a <very> similar drawing could be found from another source.i ran across this episode of jay leno's garage on youtube today.

Cool video! I really doubt it would be the same one as JFR’s , as they made lots of them and very few survived. Jay says in the video it gets 3-6 mph, and cost $6500 new in 1930 or 1932, ( both dates are given).
i just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.
it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.
the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.
In this area (rural midwest US), five congregations I know of within 50 miles of here have dissolved over the past few years and the halls sold. Two have been converted into residences, I don't know what happened to the others. The JWs have been reassigned to the nearest congregation and KH to their homes. Some have to drive about 45-50 miles to the meetings. Of course there is a lot of zooming for these ones due to the cost and trouble making the drive.
who were your past circuit overseers?
i'm sure a lot of us actually know mutual people, as the co's relocate all over the country.. here's a few from the southeast us: (let me know if you recognize any names and post yours too please...).
ellwood johnson (new york/philadelphia area for several years also).

1290 jw congregations have been deleted since 4th dec 2022. i have a full map so you can explore active/deleted congs, and also orphaned halls https://analytics.jws-library.one/viewmap.html.
many of the deletions in the usa appear to be foreign language groups.
Thanks ComingOutMyCage, that is one impressive website. A lot of work to set that up!
Fantastic!
edited to add: A lot of the deleted congregations, at least in the US, are foreign language. When they disband or discontinue, the ones attending just go back to English. I have a family member who attended a foreign language congregation in a US location and even attended a couple of the meetings myself. Didn't understand a word, but it was kind of interesting to observe. I think the purpose of the foreign language work was to give people a way to get out of the boring JW doldrums and feel like they were doing something special. It kind of worked for a while, but COVID really made it an unworkable model. The service was based on having the English language territores worked in the field, the publisher encounters someone who speaks the foreign language, say Russian, then gives the address to the Russian congregation. The Russian cong then goes out and makes a call at that address. It just didn't work under Covid, particularly with the field service going to zoom and letter writing.
