About Christmas that June, a devout Jehovah's Witness sister asked me of why I want to celebrate it.

June: Why do you want to celebrate Christmas?

I, Loi: Because of I want to receive the gifts.

June: Okay. Do you think that Christmas is in the Bible?

I, Loi: No.

June: God does not accept people celebrate Christmas yearly. So you need to keep your business by Christmas and make your own plan to invite someone for dinner, watching the movie, playing the games or whatever. Okay?

I, Loi: Okay.

June offered me to read the references with thesaurus and dictionary. But I did it. She thought that I didn’t do it. Then she drove me to home. Alright. Hey! What June said to me about Christmas is not matching Colossians 2:16, 17. She think she does match Colossians 2:16 but not. She judges, God does not accept people celebrate Christmas yearly. Hey June, Jesus Christ does not punish people celebrate whatever they felt they should be. They are God’s children and belong to the Christ. Like, what the scriptures Matthew 2:1-12 and Luke 2:6-35 tell you, June. Christ was born to reveal the world and that is exciting news. This is why we should celebrate “Christmas”, I’m not saying Santa Claus but Jesus is the gift. He is Saviour. So June, if you don’t accept Jesus is Saviour as 100% but accept Governing Body, then you will go to the hell anyway. Don’t, thus, tell me what I not to do. You can’t judge me celebrate Christmas. Got it?

I, Loi: Why Jehovah’s Witnesses always complain about people celebrate Christmas?

Mother: I don’t know. I think it is really bad. Because of the Bible does not accept that.

Actually, it is in Matthew 2:11, 12 (Add to today scriptures Matthew 2:1-12 and Luke 2:6-35) explains about the three wise men went to see the baby Jesus with the gifts. This should fit Christmas.

I, Loi: If we don’t celebrate Christmas, what shall we do?

Mother (feeling angry): What do you mean “what shall we do?” Do you know why people celebrate Christmas?

I, Loi: Because of they want to get the gifts.

Mother: No, you are wrong! It’s not because of wanting to get the gifts. It is because of people believe that Jesus was born on December 25th. And that is the devil’s work! The Bible does not accept that!

I felt lonely in a Baby Shower. Because of none of them understand how I feel. I feel hurt and I cry. It’s not fair when Jehovah’s Witnesses say No to me celebrate Christmas. I’m 21 years old! (Now, I’m 30s something still my human right is abused by Jehovah’s Witnesses and my mother. I currently am fighting for freedom. It’s sad to see that Jehovah’s Witnesses taking advantage of freedom Oh, thanks America for allowing me to keep Jehovah’s Witness religion! and at the same time abuse someone’s right to join which religion they want. So Jehovah’s Witnesses though going to door to door, annoy the non-Jehovah’s Witnesses and convince them to believe that religion. Remember Galatians 5:19-21? Jehovah’s Witnesses will not inherit God’s Kingdom anyway.) They should free me! Bitches! Add to continue Mother: Why Jehovah’s Witnesses complain about people celebrate Christmas?

I, Loi: Because of they are getting tired of that.

Mother: Me too! I’m tired of Christmas.

Do you see the two Samples-June & Mother? They are judging people celebrate Christmas which not match Colossians 2:16, 17. As well as Jehovah’s Witnesses do judging Christmas celebrants, too. That’s sad.

But, I may be wrong about interpreting Colossians 2:16, 17. Have anyone know what that scripture means?

I do not have a wish. When I look back, I wish that a landlord glimpse on my property and so she does not want more than me renting her home. But, I still do not have a wish because she wants more money; she does not have to be satisfied to what she has. And so a landlord commanded me to give the exact gifts, not let me to be a generous tenant to give whatever is from my heart. This landlord is not human to me. She acts like a lion that prey me and make my wish be turned off my dreaming vacation and loving to a man I want. So I lost my saving account. This is what a landlord views on saving account. I’ll discuss it.

The saving account is one of a wish to be happened. For example, a tenant can save up to $100.00 a month for her dreaming vacation. She wants to make sure that her landlord is not asking for the saving account. But a landlord is careless about a tenant’s money. What are a landlord views on money?

A landlord mentions that a saving account is not for a tenant. It is for the bills and for the needs of other people. She’s really a female dog! And the mind of a landlord is totally nonsense. Because of her goal is to destroy the property of a tenant.

Okay, now, will each landlord do what a landlord did to a tenant? They must be a No. A landlord should glimpse on tenant’s property. Because of it is none of her/his business. Sadly, however, a landlord of mine was not a woman who glimpse on tenant’s property.

Author’s note:

A landlord in this article is a devout Jehovah’s Witness sister from my former congregation. She always prefers to have one tenant who is only Jehovah’s Witness, not a non-Witness. To me, she does not consider as equality. There are many good people out there who are not just Jehovah’s Witnesses, but a Christian and any good association. So I have a good reason to move out from her house and will never move back again, ever.

for a while i have shaken my head after learning how jw's interpret (rather corrupt the meaning of) matthew 8:11. i thought it couldn't get any worse.

i was wrong.

One activity: preaching can save your life and live forever on beautiful earth.

I've heard it many times, which is not enough. As Jesus says, I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me, etc. If you do more than just one activity, you will be saved.

So, more activities, are these good attitude to do those? Good. :)

What?! Can a current Jw member write a letter to her disfellowshipped mother? That sounds like not shunning to me, but a small talk explaining to repent and return to Jehovah.

I had a problem with four cruel "sisters" from three different congregations. I was learning how to manage my emotion to these women because they were strong emotion to me. I know the scripture inform me to not to hold against them as God will take care of them. Let me tell you the experience story of my problem with these four "sisters" from three different congregations:
The four "sisters" (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th). Okay, the first "sister", happened in late 2003 was helping me to understand why kids need to accept and be patient to follow their parents’ rules. But I was at least 18 that time don’t need my parents. I hated when she believed to treat me like I must be a little girl. Also, she was really mad at me about my own personal interests. What was her problem? I told her that I was not interesting in joining Jehovah's Witnesses. But she refused to listen to me. Maybe she had a mental problem or emotional problem? But, eventually I accepted baptized in 2008.
The second "sister" was acting weird to me. She is from Puerto Rico. She did not pay attention to how I felt while other caring sister (I did not have a problem) validated my appeal about scam. The second "sister" was happy to have me bought her something for the first time and she never does to me. Then year later, she went to Paris with her group, which she ignored my interest of Paris. That sounds unfair and she was taking advantage of me. I don’t like that kind of behavior. I was wondering where she got money from.
First problem is, the third "sister" of Canada and now in Rochester with her American husband a "brother". She was acting very weird to me. When I met her in a friendly greeting way, she said ‘okay’. I gasped and I wanted to know what does that mean. My best friend never wants to hear me saying, ‘okay’. She was worry about me and wanted to know if I was alright.
Second problem is about the event of Deaf Awareness that the third "sister" planned to pick me up but switched to other plan in the last minutes. That is a lie. Is it?
Third problem is, I was in danger of fire and I was on text message trying to reach the third "sister" but she did not answer me.
Fourth problem. In few months later I told the third "sister" that I decided to stop associate with her. She was angry and then she called me “hypocrite”. I was so mad at her. I did not understand her. Was she immature? Or, what? Recently I read the Young People Ask book of 1989 about how to make friends. I found it phrase says, "Remember too that you can have a friend who will never let you down." But it phrase is not the same way as she and recently announced me must be a friend with congregation despite the personality. But I like it phrase tell me never have a friend who put me down. I'm not interesting in being a friend with whoever put me down. It is not worth in my time if the third "sister" do not want to be my friend, she can go away from me but lie to me calling me "hypocrisy". Shame on her! She need to wake up and smell her coffee to look at that book's phrase again. I did explain to the elders about my association issue, but sadly, they did not read it phrase. They talked about other point.
Other more problems occur. I think the third "sister" need a big help as well as the next "sister", the fourth.
The fourth "sister" is almost like the second "sister" about money but is different. The fourth "sister" commanded me to not to save the money and commanded me to send my money away. Also she commanded me to give the exact amount of gifts which not matched the scriptures say you can give whatever you want.
When the fourth "sister" offered me her nice home, I told her I was on the welfare but she believed that it was good enough. So my bank balance was overdraft seven times. And she spoiled my future. I was so mad at her. She was taking advantage of me. Meanwhile, she complained about me did not give my money to her and to somebody else. I felt disgusting to what she viewed on money. I kindly explained to her that I was not want to live with her anymore ever, since then she has not sought out my company which convinces me all the more that she only wanted me to be a perfect spiritual sister for her. Was she having a mental problem? She needs a big help with her financial situation. Also, add to other "sister", I like her. She's so cool. But as the fourth "sister", while I stayed humble with the other "sister", she told me to know that the Bible say must give the money away. As she gave me an example of congregation contribution, think about same as the bookstore price. Oh, wow! This is not what the Bible tell you to give your gifts away, you can give whatever you want instead of give the gifts away. That is so cruel to force me to give the money away. It's my decision to give whatever I want. What are the matter with them? Don't they get how I feel? Huh?
All these women are though living to give me a hard time to pursue their actions but the Bible encourages me to forgive their mistakes. I'm trying my best to forget them. They are not worth in my time if they don't like me. That is okay with me. I'm not worry about them. I have Father and the Son in my life.

i believe that god's kingdom is in heaven.

although that god's kingdom can be both heaven and earth that jehovah's witnesses believe.

Hello Faithful Witness,

Thank you for sharing the dictionary with me. What I mean is that sect have synonyms that I found term "persuasion". Yes, we Christians should avoid sect. Because of we want to show respect for people's belief. We know that we should not pressure the people to convert our belief. And we want to let God takes care of them. About King James Version, the word "heresies" that I remember watching the movie about Catholic domination during medieval era. The Catholic priest explained that if any who disagree and not follow the rules will be excommunicated from the church, and could possible be the death penalty. But in JW.ORG, the death penalty never happen. Only excommunication and though, practice shunning policy.

I researched on Watchtower from January 1, 1984. It is about what to do for the future. Here is my comment on what to do for the future:

Some group says, “You have a future.” But the question is, do you have a future? You don’t expect a future. Because of your future can be destroyed while you are in the group that can interfere your plan for the future. They want you to follow the steps of their future which upset you. But you are strong, because you can build your confidence. You have a dream. Don’t let anyone stop your dream. They should have going away. You made your own plan for the future and you want to achieve it. So must your time of success to come! Also, you have a life. You can make it. Like you are existing in having a career, a nice house, a nice car, a spouse and, have children together. It’s your life! They should show you respect.

I have other good question to consider. Is future for individual or the group? Listen up to what the society said about what to do for the future, “…depends on how you view it and plan for it.” Do you see that “you”? It does not say “our organization.” I don’t get how the society’s system works. Why should individuality keep following the steps of the group’s future? They should have going away. Today group is forgetting about the old sayings, “You have a future” and “depends on how you view it and plan for it” causes individuality to feel disgraced. That’s not right! Everyone’s own the future is right. And...

Why not follow the one noted inventor observed? What observation? “We should all be concerned about the future because we will have to spend the rest of our lives there.” Why not? But destroy someone’s future? Oh, please.
