Rhetorical Question: Why would they make any future statement about Birthdays, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, or any of the other things we are thinking of?
They already told you that a mature person doesn't need to reach for mommy's hand to cross the street. They told you a mature Christian only needs principles. We should all take them at their word. Celebrate what you want to.

at service group, a sister nervously asked him a question about the arrangements, he shook his head and said "only in Anytown Congregation"
He stormed out of elders meetings, thru a side door, when at the conclusion he asked if anyone wanted to discuss anything. "Anytown must be perfect!"
He began a rant on the stage at the CA when i was chairman, insisting he sent me an email, until i pulled up jw.org email and showed him exactly what he sent.
multiple congregations offered him counsel, but i dont know of any letters written to the branch.
If i ever see him again, i will consider punching him in nose.

Great point. I'm not sure there is. We have plenty of verses telling us who's "nakedness" cannot be laid bear, but none of them involve two single people. OTOH, there are verses that put value on virginity. This, however, is not the same as condemning premarital sex.
There is lots of good reading out there on what porneia actually means given language and cultural rules extemporaneous to Paul's writing. These are different from how religious institutions have interpreted things for current language.
i am sure we were all shocked at the governing body update #2 with the unusual and impulsive changes set forth.. i am an insider at whq, and when i was on reddit and in communication with avoidjw i explained to the best of my ability that the approach on disfellowshipping was going to change based on the new light at the 2023 agm, that the jubilee rumor was false, and there were going to be changes on how jws approached disfellowshipping in response to the norway situation if it didn't turn out in watchtower's favor.
the decision came because of a legal blow to watchtower, not because "holy spirit" wad directing a faithful slave, who is going to become the "evil slave", more explanation on this soon.. everything i stated came true.
i left reddit exjw community due to the immature and mentally unstable nature there, and yet as has been the case my words came true.

new Shepherd book says elders don't get involved in "petty gambling" and has removed any reference to the lottery.
a $1 or $2 ticket is certainly petty. It would seem that lottery is not an excluded item but is certainly one that will still get you side eyed looks
