JW and Mormon Channel on ROKU

" inow know what he meant.. well, this weekend i spent some time watching a bit of jw broadcasting and the mormon channel on roku.
after watching samples of both, i can say that the jw's are a poor man's mormon.

Well, this weekend I spent some time watching a bit of JW Broadcasting and the Mormon Channel on Roku. After watching samples of both, I can say that the JW's are a poor man's Mormon. Especially if you compare the JW GB 8 to the Mormon Elders/Quorum of 12. The Mormon leaders are so much better in their speaking abilities, the way they dress (just look at Stephen Lett's ill-fitting suit) and the production qualities of the programming and movies.
I am sure the JW leaders are jealous of the Mormons and have hired the same kind of marketing company that the Mormons use. It is really weird to be scrolling through the ROKU menu and seeing the JW.ORG Channel logo next to all the "worldly" entertainment providers like Hulu, Neflix and Pandora.
Yep, JW's are definitely a "poor mans Mormon"

To be or not to be Anointed: it's all a bunch of lies and make belief anyways

Never baptized and left the "truth" at age 18. The only "annointed" people I knew growing up were crazy. There was an old couple that both claimed to be annointed. She was crazy. I remember my Mom used to drag me over to their house. I'm sure my Mom thought that she was getting closer to the Big J by hanging around her. This couple had lived in Hawaii for a few years and were obsessed with all things Hawaiian. She wore moo-moo's and always wore a turban and was very obese. She was so "sickly" that she rarely made the meetings, but I remember she had stacks of National Enquirer magazines and was always munching on food when we visited.
Her poor Husband was actually a sweet old guy. I don't know what he did for a living, but the poor guy once fell asleep at a stop light and got rear-ended after work on the way to our book study that he conducted. I he used to call his rain boots "rubbers" and as a kid I thought that was funny.
In later years, she would drag him around by the hand when they would show up for Circuit Assemblies. George and Grace Card were there names. When they died, before I left home, when I was in my early teens I was worried for a while that they were up in heaven and could see all the bad stuff I was doing. LOL
What a crock...I can't believe my Mom has believed this stuff since 1968...

Tune to tv.jw.org...LOL! I have had trouble sleeping and ran out of my Ambien. No problem. I just casted the tv.jw.org stream to my TV by way of Chromecast...and bam! I just slept for the past 3 hours.
I just woke up and they are showing lame field service skits from the Gilead graduation...oh boy. How corny.

Resinstatement - Holy Spirit Direction is BULL

never baptized, family all in and treat me fine since leaving home/wt over 30 years whenever i see them.
discovered the ttat by reading kingdom of the cults and catching an episode of the john ankerberg show when i was 18.. in the past 4 years i have "helped" two people ( a father and son) get reinstated.

AND, Finkel, what is more sickening is to sit back and watch as they "loving congregation" swarms around them after the announcement...all happy and fake. Just a week ago they would not make eye contact at Wal-Mart. I understand them wanting to go back for family. If I had been dunked, I would have not had my crazy JW Mother all my life.
But the phony love, and swarming around like bees because a overweight, ill-dressed , ninth grade educated window-washer announced it is OK - made me feel ill. I wanted to tell them all off...but I didn't.

So I am, I guess technically an apostate. Never baptized, family all in and treat me fine since leaving home/WT over 30 years whenever I see them. Discovered the TTAT by reading Kingdom of the Cults and catching an episode of the John Ankerberg Show when I was 18.
In the past 4 years I have "helped" two people ( a father and son) get reinstated. They both know it is all crap, but due to family reasons (elderly parents and new grandchildren) they both wanted to get back in and fade. It is just hilarious. I took them to most meetings, luckily with tablet and mobile wi-fi I was surfing JWN most of time.
I coached them as to what to say in the Elders meetings. When and how to follow up. Fake highlight WT articles. I wrote their reinstatement letters. LOL. One of them got in in 6 months and the other took about 9 months. Spirit-Directed Elders my Ass. The first one has nearly faded... been to like 4 meetings in nearly 2 years. Oh, and not ONE Shepherding call or visit.
Just one more reason that the WTBS in nothing more than a man-made organization. Perhaps I should start a website/coaching biz. "REINSTATEMENTS-R-US" LOL.

Congregation Pledge Disgusted Elder
by rrb2016 inat the meeting the other night, the elder who had to read the announcements, which included the $$ info for the new donation arrangement seemed downright disgusted as he read the announcements and asked for the vote.
he said, "well, here is another organizational change" as he read the letter about the discontinuation of the 2nd meeting during co visit.
then after they voted, he said if you have any questions ask this other elder as if he wanted nothing to do with it.

Although he does wear a rust colored polyester suit most of of the time. He said they had much discussion on the matter. They decided to send $300 or so a month to the BORG, although last month they claim they only collected $600 with expenses of $700. They have $8000 in the bank. I wonder if that will be sent to the BORG also.

They are i- Pad Nutty Now
by Poztate inso many at my wife's hall have rushed to buy i-pads,androids etc for use in servicetm and at the hall.. most know little or nothing about how to use them but have joined the stampede to jw.org tm and the reinvention of the wtbts.. it prompted one elder at my wife's hall to have a seminar at his house to explain how to use them in service and at the hall.. how exciting.... one 80 year old pioneer woman will be there with her new toy.. as a distraction it seems to be working quite well.
no need to worry about 1914 or other issues.. they are all nuts and getting nuttier....

Tablets at the meetings are the best. I have been taking my Step-Daughter to the meetings, as she is trying to get reinstated so she can associate freely with her Dad and Grandma. I just enable my wi-fi hotspot from my cell and I am surfing the net on the iPad during the meeting. I usually spend my time at JWN or FB. LOL. When the nosy microphone wrangler comes by and snoops, I don't care. I've never been baptized and know it is all bull, since I read Kingdom of the Cults when I was 18, nearly 30 years ago.
