I do not see supporting an Orthodox troll who opposes the Watchtower because he sees it as a threat to Orthodox Churches as worth while. His personal testimonies carry little weight and smack of the usual Russian Orthodox propaganda. No, I will not contribute to a farce.

I'm not defending Lloyd boy. I detest him. But "argument" as he uses it falls under this definition:
a reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong."there is a strong argument for submitting a formal appeal"He is, however, argumentative, self-centered, lacking any sense of civility, in need of a brain transplant and more than a little stupid. -

Lloyd boy isn't especially articulate which is defined as " having or showing the ability to speak fluently and coherently." Lloyd, coherent? Not even slightly. Glib is a better descriptor.
I don't remember how old I was when I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not very. At one of my aunts' house with older cousins. It did not frighten me though I found the snake pit thing a bit icky.

Martin Armstrong's latest book, 'The Plot to Seize Russia'
by was a new boy inthe 2015 documentary - 'the forecaster' was basically banned in usa.
so martin leased a movie theater in cherry hill nj and showed it himself.. 'a german tv station funded the 2015 documentary on me entitled the forecaster.
because it raised some of these issues back then, the film was banned in the united states as well as switzerland...'.

I looked at Evans' twitter feed today. He has thousands of followers, apparently. But those who engage with him are an exceptionally low number. Earlier in this thread someone suggested (might even have been me) that he purchased one of the 'guaranteed followers' packages. Given the very low number who engage with him, this appears to be so. He is probably nearly bottomed out; I mean he's lost about as many followers and patrons as he will.
This isn't surprising since most of his loyal patrons seem to view morals as he does. A large number of ex-Witnesses did not leave for principle, but because they could not or would not live by the Bible's moral standards. They're Evans' fellow travelers. "Birds of a feather ..." and such.

My mom's library, now mine, has 103 different translations. Most have some interest, maybe excepting the Cotton Patch Bible.

Earnest said:
"The Watchtower article with which you disagree indicates it is referring to God's name, but it has nothing to do with translation. However, since vs 15 talks about offering God a sacrifice of praise, and vs 16 says that God is well-pleased with such sacrifices, it is quite reasonable to conclude that the sacrifice is made 'to [God's] name."
Absolutely correct. The Pulpit Commentary observes that the author of Hebrews [Traditionally believed to be Paul] uses a phrase that designates the "voluntary peace offering" under the Law. Those offerings were made to Jehovah/Yahweh. The phrase is also used of voluntary thank-offerings. [M. R. Vincent: Word Studies]. So Paul suggests that "confessing his name" is praise made to and about Jehovah the one to whom sacrifices are made. Our praise replaces the animal sacrifices of the Old Law. But the sacrifice continues to be made to God.
Simple grammar verifies that God is meant. To whom does the possessive pronoun "his" [αὐτοῦ] refer? We must refer it to its immediate antecedent, God.
