  I feel the way many of you do. Something about this seems different.

  Then I got to thinking, look at the mag covers and cover topics in the last few years and compare them with those from say the 80s. ALREADY much has changed it seems to me.

  At least in my local cong. it feels like a mellower vibe. The constant referrals to the imminent end of this system is made by the brothers locally in talks etc and not so much by the publications.

  Oral (and anal for that matter) sex between a husband and wife is purely their business now when at one time you could get the big DF. (was in the WT study a couple weeks ago)

  So yes, I think changes are coming as they've BEEN coming for some time.

  It would be interesting to use the sentence "The GB can make mistakes when explaining the Bible"

  when defending a point of view differing from the org.

  so back in the olden days, (the 1980s) it was really frowned apon for a man and woman who are unmarried to be alone together without a chaperon.

  where i came from they probably carried it to the exreme but that's the way i understood it was supposed to be throughout the org.. i have been out for years, but my wife continues to be a faithful dublitron.. anyway, she cleans houses, and one of her clients is a recently widowed brother.

  i have come to find out that many times he is there when she cleans his house.

  All of you that say I feel that way because of brainwashing may be right.

  I think also that because there has been an incidince of infidelity in my extended family recently that it may be top of mind.

  You are probably right leavingwt. Part of me knows this and like I said I do trust her. I just wish I could figure why it bothers me like it does. Thought if it was a big issue as far as the JW rules, I could just have it nipped in the bud without looking like a tool. I am almost certain that in the past they would get a talking to for it...at least in this part of the world LOL.

  It kind of bothers me but I can't really say why. If I persue the issue then knowing if this is still a big deal among the good folks in the troof would help me argue my point.

  I posted a profile of a sister. I am a guy by the way. Anyhow, the picture I used was of a Penthouse Pet taken when she was signing autographs. It looks classy, nothing naughty. Well, I got over a hundred letters from "brothers" wanting to get together LOL. I think I must be the most popular girl on the site LOL.

  For those not familiar with Penthouse, it is a Porn mag in the USA. Their symbol is a styleised key. The lady in the photo I used had a necklace with that key. Severl guys commented on it one even being so bold as to talk about the key to his heart. God, most of the letters were almost offensive. I really understand some of what women have to deal with now LOL.

  It says it "could" endanger our " peaceful relationship with Jehovah."

  In the past, they would have said it definately would. No?
