  Has anyone else seen this video on JW Broadcasting?

  so i was checking out the website to see what the february broadcast was all about before i watched it with my jw wife.. on the front page was this video.... https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/vodbible/pub-jwbai_201607_1_video.

  i watched it and pretended i had never been a jw.. if you pretend you don't understand their particular language it makes for a interesting (if not vague) watch.. btw i've seen several of the actors before.

  jw version of movie stars?

  The thing is, as a worldly person watching this...I wouldn't see what the poor kid did wrong.

  Plus, maybe I mentioned it before...the worldly girl is REALLY pretty. :-)

  we have purchased a bunch of great books recently, and one of them is from author kyria abrahams called "i'm perfect, you're doomed".

  i'm only 5 chapters in at this stage, but i just have to share that this is a great read!.

  (as in millions now living will never die, this generation will by no means pass away, allegations of pedophile abuse of children in congregations is apostate lies) however, jehovah wants his people to go beyond not telling outright lies.

  he urged the ancient israelites: “you should be holy, because i, jehovah your god, am holy.” then he gave examples of being holy.

  Wife and I discussing "The Path"

  my wife and i have been watching the tv show "the path".

  we are caught up to the latest episode and we have began discussing the parallels (or the lack thereof) between the cult portrayed in the show and the jw.

  would you help me trace some more that i may be overlooking?.

  I've been enjoying the show as well.

  I am almost done with the first season.

  I think the similarities between Meyerism and JWs are pretty standard across the board when dealing with cults.

  I guess that's why JWs are considered to be one.

He urged the ancient Israelites: “You should be holy, because I, Jehovah your God, am holy.” Then he gave examples of being holy. In part, God said: “You must not steal, you must not deceive, and you must not deal falsely with one another.” (Lev. 19:2, 11) Sadly, a person who makes it a point never to tell outright lies might still resort to deceiving others, dealing falsely with them. (as in Geoffrey Jackson saying what he did before the Australian royal commission)

  You may know of similar instances of deliberate deception. Perhaps this is done to avoid punishment or to profit at others’ expense.   A brother repeated a "rumor" from the platform last night.

  i seem to remember many talks and articles in the past about repeating rumors.last night before going into the book study the conductor said something to the effect, "i heard a rumor and i don't know if it's true but the rumor is that in the future we will be using only;y videos at the door.".

  anyone else heard this "rumor"?.

  and whats up with repeating rumors from the platform?

  I've been feeling like there is a very BIG change on the horizon. Just a gut feeling I guess. But I think fukitol...

  Solution: shed 'new light' on the door to door work, making it no longer compulsory for all in the congregation to do it. Make it something for pioneers only, bit like how the Mormons do with their 19 year old missionary 'elders'. The rest of the congregation can just do informal witnessing, phone witnessing, or giving tracts away in the street or in malls directing people to JW.org to watch videos there instead of on some schmucks tablet on a doorstep.

  May be closer than we know.
