  Help: Contacting Cynthia Franz to Convert Raymond Franz's Books to e-Books

  does anyone know how to contact cynthia franz to ask if she can inquire about publishing raymond franz's books in ebooks/digital formats?

  if raymond franz's books were in digital formats for sale, it could help cyhthia franz to live a little bit better and could also help more jws.. a quick check of www.amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_13?url=search-alias%3daps&field-keywords=crisis%20of%20conscience%20raymond%20franz&sprefix=crisis+of+con%2caps%2c211 suggests that raymond franz's books are in paper editions only.

  in the thread coc request, tech49 wanted to obtain a digital copy of "crisis of conscience" so that he could read it without drawing suspicion to himself, but could not locate a digital version of it.

  Thanks for confirming that for me.

  I wanted to clarify that I myself did not believe that the future claim from the WTBTS that there would be those that in effect, would never die to be a "out" for thier claims of millions now living will never die IE a futuristic setting.

  i could give you hundreds of experiences but let me kick off with the following.

  i boarded a train at 4am heading to an airport a few weeks ago.

  in my carriage there were at least 100 people.. .

  Wake up moment for me, at least a little easy slap on the face.

  Was at a KH build down South in the USA and was staying at a local brothers house sleeping on the floor on a blanket.

  Heard the other brothers making it into the house, you know, the ones with bedrooms and also the ones that were white and that were

  in charge of running the build as far as the construction process it self. They had a distinct look of "Marlon Brando" (Early years) about them. You know the type, white tee shirts, long greased hair with a curl twisted over the forehead Elvis style. Right out of the 50-60s. I was wondering where the pack of cigarettes were that were usually folded under the short sleeve.

  Well after a bit of drinking, you could hear them start using the "N" word. Note that the congregation was pretty much if not all Black brothers and sisters as far as I could tell. I say that due to the ones bringing all the food and also the ones dressed like they had just been out in service as they were all black.

  So here I was having to listen to some apparently drunk white BROTHERS in charge of the build laughing and useing the "N" word like it was going to be outlawed soon.

  I got up, borrowed a truck and went into town and rented a room at the local hotel.

  So Rutherford NEVER said "millions now living "may" never die" ?

  I thought I had seen on a video on youtube that this was the case and that he had changed it after a bit to "WILL" but I may have completely missed that point.

  I had created this one, especially for the DC this weekend hoping that some of the attendees there would "check in" and see the apge.

  Had hoped that some would have "Liked it" so that others might see it and do the same. Actually not even sure if any of the JWs there have even seen it.

  I had assumed that the Jws FB users would have went to the "Check in " feature on the device and have seem the page. I'm not a big FB user so am not even sure that it is showing up for that location. I'm about 4 hours away and can't make the drive just to see,.. lol have an Aunt going there that is really big on Fb and had hoped that she would somehow see it.

  On another note, to make sure that I understand this, and I'm asking here if this is how it went down.

  1. ORIGINALLY Rutherford said "Millions now living MAY never die"

  2. THEN he said, "Millions now living WILL never die"

  3. THEN the WTBTS quoted him as saying "Millions now living MAY never die"

  Whereas they were making a TRUE quote, but were not quoting the latest modification, is this the way it went down?

  If not, where can I go to see a connect the dot diagram of what is the issue here?

  Get this,.. some Jw apologist somewhere wrote and argued that the statement "millions now living will never die" could still be a truthful statement. How you may ask,.. here is his angle.

  In the FUTURE paradise earth, heaven, what have you, their will THEN be those that heard that message that were living at that time, that will in effect NEVER DIE.

  So although he admits that they did die here on this earth in THIS lifetime, there is the future life where they "WILL NEVER DIE" I know that that is NOT what Rutherford was selling, but it is this particular guys way of dealing with that failed prophecy.

  Just sharing,... not my views at all in case your wondering.

  does anybody know the current rules about going to fireworks?

  is it or is not acceptable these days?

  (us 4th of july week they go on in different locals all week).

  My sons friend when we were IN was allowed to purchase and pop some fireworks, just was not allowed to pop any on July 4th. Before or after that day was okay, just not ON THAT DAY since it could make Jehovah sad and cry.

  Son is giving first talk, conflicted

  my son is still studying with the jw's and is giving his first talk this tuesday.

  he's 22 and still living in my home.

  my other two boys 12 and 15 are here as well but don't study cuz wifee knows how i feel.

  I was in pretty much the same situation about 1.5 years ago.

  My son was giving his first talk, the bible reading and I was mentally and physically out but my wife and children were not out at the time. I viewed the WTBTS as a cult and that this was a major step for a JW as there would be so much love bombing given to him and it was killing me inside that, to me at least, he was getting deeper into the cult and that I would not have to work that much harder to get him out.

  I decided NOT to go to the meeting and hear his talk. It hurt him and my family for me not to go but, to me, it was the better of 2 decisions as, honestly, I was at a point where I might have done terrible things there at the KH that night, things that would have "altered" my sons view of me and not in a good way. I imagined myself throwing chairs through the 2nd schools window separating it from the main auditorium.

  My take on it at the time was that, compared to me missing his talk, the damage I might do during the meeting would be harder to repair at a later date.

  I was between a rock and a hard spot, so to speak. I had actually thought of taking him out fishing on the boat that day and just not making it back in , in time for the talk. He was basically crushed at the time that I did not make it to his talk and others at the meeting wer talling my wife, " I can't believe XXX (me) did not come to hear XXX talk" etc,.

  I went out to dinner by myself and was watching the time and was distraught at the thought that my son, trapped into a cult, due to me, was slipping through my fingers and falling deeper into the cult mindset.

  After I was able to get my family out and got to the point of being able to explain my reasonings to my family and son as to why I had to miss the talk and the potential damage I would have done and the fallout from that it is now not so much as a sore spot that it once was.

  He gets it now and smiles when I describe at what I might have done during the meeting that night.

  I will admit that it take him a bit to get over as he would throw this in my face every once in a while and I would have to re explain it all over again.

  As a side note, he recently asked me to take him on a fishing trip and my wife chimed in "If your dad takes you fishing this weekend will it make up for him not going to your first talk?" He beamed "Yes, yes!"

  I said "Sorry,.. I'm not taking you fishing this weekend to make up for missing your talk, I have explained as to why I missed the talk and the reasons and by me taking you fishing this weekend to make up for it would make it seem that I was wrong in my decision to miss the talk, do you understand?" I then added " I will however take you fishing this weekend if you'd like"

  Big smiles from him,.....

  This act alone was probably the hardest and if I was not afraid of not damaging the building or at least controlling my anger I would have went and then just tried to work that much harder to get him out. It worked out for our family in the long run.

  Rumor: April 3, 2015 start of Great Tribulation?

  on another forum, somebody mentioned that there is a growing belief with those high up in watchtower hierarchy that the great tribulation will begin april 3, 2015. evidently, one has to check the skycharts for that date and compare with 33 ceand also compare with the history of jws for past 40, 80, 120 years.

  dont ask me to verify the rumor...these things come and go.

  im sure lots of people in hq believe all sorts of things.. .
