  Best way to deal with anger at the GB while waking up?

  good morning everyone , .

  i am wondering how people have personally delt with the anger at the gb when waking up and realizing it’s a scam, lie , and it’s awfully depressing .

  i have had difficulty concentrating at work , have had an emotional roller coaster between okay days and awful days.

  Be strategic. Don't let your emotions or your RIGHT to take certain actions or say certain things overwhelm the need to care for yourself long term. Ultimately you want to make wise decisions that will benefit your future and your family.

  so in england they report a "white clean-shaven man" mowed down worshippers at a mosque.

  why do they never make such detailed descriptions when muslims do the same?.

  i hope this event isn't a bad turning point.

Seems the threat of the Muslim poster was all in your overactive imagination! Heads were definitely "lost" in this thread, college boy. Someone posts for a dozen years in a polite and respectful manner, not losing it even under attack, and they are shut out.

  What to Do....Please Help. Awakening JW for a very long time

  good afternoon , .

  i have been having doubts for many years and as most jw's i have certainly not done myself a favor by suppressing all of my critical thinking.

  i am married with 3 kids and my wife and i are inactive, but my wife has made it very clear in speech and action that she wants to go to all meetings, field service, and indoctrinate our kids.

  Initiate marriage counseling. Document abuse. If things don't change, get divorce and keep kids away from the insanity.

  A huge country just took all their assets (that they didn't hide first). Another, Australia might soon get some. Other countries are examining their credibility as tax free entities or tax supported entities.

  I have some hope, but mostly am counting on attrition to kill them off like shakers. They will outlive me, but maybe not my grandkids.

  what are everyone's thoughts on this, how his legs weren't broken, he was pierced with a spear and he wore a thorny crown?.

  i'm pimo and very much not wanting to believe, but like the daniel statue prophecies, these ones about jesus stick in my mind and give me "hmmm, maybe" moments..

  Anyone wonder why God couldn't have written a holy book that would need theologians, interpretation, philosophy and linguistics experts to discern the message? It doesn't matter how many of us sincerely sought truth, we needed to be able to evaluate every point of the book and the men who wrote it, lived it and teach it. And bully for us if we discern it incorrectly or follow the wrong teacher or philosophy.

  That is the God that's going to judge me? The God who created me to have trouble with long division expects me to figure out the mysteries of the universe in between making a living, raising a family and keeping up with my profession, technology and current events?

  So, yeah, you can call me an idiot. But I spent years sincerely trying to seek after the truth and realized that basic human decency cuts across religion, philosophy and politics. So does evil.

  So Jesus or God will send me to hell or destroy me for believing wrong when all I have REALLY is a book written in a coded language filled with meanings informed by prehistoric cultures and dead languages that can't be directly translated.

  When you see a lot of smoke, there is a fire.

  When you see people wading through waist high water in the street, you know there is a flood.

  When you see a religion who formerly bragged about never asking for donations because doing so would indicate they no longer had God's blessing,asking for donations while they are reducing property holdings, branches, support personnel and their numbers are no longer increasing in impressive numbers. . . While they are being investigated/castigated for their handling of child abuse cases. and publicly called out for their treatment of victims. . .well there are many reasons that they have more month at the end of their money. It's not just the child abuse, but that sure does justify, for many, their lack of financial support to the central org. One used to be able to support local needs only, but the org is taking from that pot too now.

  Even if they aren't paying out stupendous amounts of hush money, it's still too much and consequently they have lost the absolute confidence of their monied followers in the west. Many who still believe the doctrine overall (inexplicably) are recognizing that the org might not be a paragon. They may continue to attend but are unwilling to support its "work" at the expense of their families and futures anymore. They are turning into secular JWs. Secular Christians are selling unused churches to be redeveloped into condos, schools and mosques. Kingdom halls are being sold for the same reasons. Not enough butts in the seats. More importantly, not enough donations in the anonymous boxes at the back of the hall.

  This child abuse case is just one payout that made the news. How many are quietly settled with no court documents?

  I don't know that plaintiffs/victims have to 'concede' anything other than to be silent. . .and not have it all out there. They don't have to admit guilt, but usually are restricted from disclosing any details of the settlement.

  I'm amazed he's still speaking to you at all. I'd not shun him. Why should we power ourselves? All JWs need normal people so they aren't too isolated. I think asking occasional questions as they make the news isn't unkind. Ask them for info, not judgementally and he might think. Mostly stick to cars, women and whatever men talk about. He's a JW and needs to reclaim his masculinity. Or just grow a pair.

  i was born january 15, 1947in mt.

  carmel hospital, detroit, michigan.. within six months of my birth, my mother would bundle her baby boy into a blanket and board an american airlines propeller-driven plane--in effect, leaving my father behind--to return to her hometown, ft. worth, texas.. my dad had an excellent job working for cadillac as an inspector.

  it was a union job.

  Her husband was born to an Armenian refugee family. They are not likely Muslim if I remember history right.

  Serena's financial worth is probably 10 times that of her husband.

  Everybody: everything she said in relation to her faith is terribly sad for her. She is mostly POMI which is probably a horrible mindset to have: believing you know the truth but have never lived it and are unworthy so far. PIMO may have their imprisonment, but their minds are free. She wants to be in the prison with a closed mind.
