Wow, Most powerful and accurate letter I have ever seen. Great valid points. If one does not sit back and say "Hmmmmm" after reading that, then they are truly blind to this cult.

My Dissociation letter
by TJ Curioso inhi to everyone!i was summoned to the judicial committee and went.
it was a respectful conversation from one side to the other.
in the end i handed the dissociation letter in hand and a binding to each of the elders, with an article i wrote on the subject, "are jehovah's witnesses a destructive sect?

The Name of GOD is why my Dad said he came into this religion..Not sure if it was for alot of people, but I remember assembly parts that would have demonstrations and this is one reason they came into the so called "Truth"

Thanks for all responses. I dont care what they do at this point, but kinda surprised no one has said a thing after myself and wife posted quite a few things.
Blues Brothers: No have not been to any meetings, Memorials, assemblys, just walked away.
Im in same town, but they split halls and now I am in other halls territory
They know me well, I was a servant. They used to come around every few weeks to visit me, but they came about a month ago to invite us to assembly, I wasnt home, so my poor wife had to deal with them, but she said they were pretty nice and just left invitation.

Talk to my Dad about beards.
by LovingLifeNow inso i spoke to my elder dad the other day, and he asked if i still am sporting a beard.
i said yes, then i said, "i thought the society said its ok to have a neat trimmed beard now?
" he said "no, no, no..if you read the article , it says in countries where it is accepted" so my response was "ummm, its pretty accepted here in america"..which he says "it reflects your spirituality" "if another wittness saw you, they would know you are weak"...i was like, "ok, i don't get it, and i follow christ/god, not men..." then he said in his hall" if a brother came in with a beard , he would not have privelages" then i just gave up, and tried to change the subject..ugggggggggg if these people would just listen to themselves , they would see the sillyness of there teachings...

Do you find it therapeutic coming to this site?
by UnshackleTheChains ini read on another thread how this site has helped another user and that for them it has been a form of therapy.. for me yes, jwn has most certainly been a form of therapy.. i recall the days i first came to jwn (in 2004) and couldn't believe i had found people who were of the same opinion as myself in regards to the society.
it was this site that led me to reading ray franz's book 'crisis of conscience' which i read twice within a week.
it also led me to jw facts that goes into every nook and cranny regarding the society's teachings, policies and history.. note: i also visit many other sites and watch you tube videos a lot, but gravitate here most of the time.. coming here to express my inner most thoughts and feelings has helped me no end and allows me to overcome my frustrations.

So far my Mom will still call me, but I have not DA, nor have I been DFed yet. She will ask me if I am celebrating the holidays, and I usually just talk around it, without directly answering her, I have a brother who I think is awake. He has said some pretty bizzarre things to me, and he is an elder. So as far as seeing family, yes I can say we still communicate, but it seems like it is with caution. Me and my family have been in-active for over a year...

You Can Encourage An Inactive Christian!
by Yesu Kristo Bwana Wangu inhttps://www.jw.org/en/publications/jw-meeting-workbook/april-2017-mwb/meeting-schedule-apr10-16/encourage-inactive-christian/.
this is part of the clam meeting this week.. how contradictory is it?.
first, they instruct people to avoid inactive ones and to shun them and to treat them the same as da'd or df'd ones, .

Oh Great,,,I was left alone for the longest time, Hopefully they don't start calling on me and my family again. I Love how, people only leave because they miss something the world has to offer, or are depressed, Never and I mean never do you hear they left because they have facts that prove this religion false, or They leave because they found there love for God in a different path..
