The blood policy has killed way more than Jonestown. Also, lots of people kill themselves when learning the real truth, or from shunning.

I know you mean more cloak and dagger, mob action stuff, but that ain't their thing.

Are most Jdubs narcicistic? Does the religion breed narcicistic behaviors?

i read the above posted article and it made me wonder how many narcicistic people join the borg because it fits well with their personality.

i also wonder if being indoctrinated makes you become narcicistic.

When going through attacks by narcissists where you are trying to explain yourself it is important to remember that to a narcissist feelings are facts. They will always turn things around and put you on the defensive no matter how horrible their own behavior was/is. I learned, but have not had a chance to practice yet, to say:

1) You are entitled to your opinion.

or

2) I'm sorry that you feel that way, but you are entitled to your opinion.

or my favorite:

3) I disagree with that, but you are entitled to your feelings. (I would love saying that to an uber Dub male.)

I learned it from a youtube entitled Never Explain to a Narcissist. The Narc may still engage and fight, but it takes the fuel away.

The narcissist needs a supply, and those come from co-dependents and empaths, but I'm an amateur, a co-dependent that has noted narc behaviors in herself, and slight empath. WT makes narcissists, and the co-dependents and empaths that feed the personality disorder. The men fit the narc roles better, and the women fit the co-dependent roles better. Feel free to correct me, if you think I'm wrong. Of course, many people will naturally disagree with the existence of empaths.

my father died a couple of months ago.

he'd been ill for some time and had many health scares and heart troubles over the years but always managed to keep on going.

then one time he didn't.. i'm glad i got to know him again and spend some more time with him after so many years missed because of the wts but those years will always be lost forever.

What despicable behavior on your Mother's part. Thank you for sharing your story. I keep meaning to look up your interview with an apostate because of your being the originator and keeper of this great site. I almost always go see what you have said on a subject; it is always interesting.

advice please/data protection

i have just received an email from an elder's wife regarding the new data protection laws.

between the lines it sounds like she has been asked to contact me.. she says they 'don't want to leave me out' so they want me to fill out the form as 'i'm still part of the congregation'.

also, my blood card needs updating, apparently.. the elder in charge will be in contact.. obviously, i'm not doing either, but what do i do?

That elder parking in front of your house is an asshole. Just like Jesus? or Just like Scientology?

Maybe ask your local GDPR person/ elected official how to respond if they ask again, and as I always request: Record it. If you can't immediately use the recording, you may be able to in the future. How about those door bell video recorders if you can afford it?

Also, do what you can to chill and relax.

i am posting this in this section (child abuse) because of the impact the catholic church has on what transpires in the religio-socio-legal realm that the jws are also embroiled in, concerning institutional abuses.. the catholic church is not willing to apologize for their role in the horrific abuses that occurred in canada in the residential school system for the canadian indigenous population.. for anyone who is interested in background on this dark chapter of canadian history, the truth and reconciliation report is available here - it is a hefty volume that is very difficult to read and it is the result of a royal commission on aboriginal peoples.. the pope has refused to offer an apology and it has become a controversial subject in canadian politics:.

a canadian priest is defending pope francis' decision not to apologize to indigenous people in canada for the role the catholic church played in the residential school system.about 150,000 first nation, inuit and métis children were taken from their parents by law and forced to attend church-run residential schools.

Love the comment on the gestures and the soft science that studies body behavior. I often see them twitch their shoulder a lot when it is an obvious lie. I think that's another sign of cover up.

Then there is Lett licking his lips when talking of child abuse. I've looked hard to see him do it again, and have not spotted it. Gross.

I think the Pope would apologize before the GB, but I didn't know about this native stuff. When having poor me syndrome, it is good to look at what has happened and continues to happen to them. Also, of course, do what you can to help!

Continuing congregation mergers

in the area i live in the pacific northwest, three spanish congregations we're merged into two a couple of years ago and in the next month or so four english congregations will be cut down to three.

both situations happened because of lack of growth.

a few years ago, i would never have imagined spanish congregations disappearing or merging but it's happening.

Edit 1:Look for the new group by August, or August of next year I would guess. I just saw a group added where a merge happened and it took a year.

Edit 2: It is just a desperate move, but I want people who are still doubting to have all the info.
