so i got a text from an elder who i consider one of the good guys and a friend in his own way.. he asked if he could bring the co by for a visit.
he said it would be "just a pleasant call and visit and will hopefully encourage my wife".
he says that "he knows she is dealing with a ton of pressure".. in all my years around the organization, i never had a visit from the circuit overseer.
Elders are nothing more than adult playground bullies. Don't let them in as others have said, you're asking for trouble. Heck they may even try giving you a lovely "Return to Hell" brochure. Just shoo them away. They are up to no good.
My MIL keeps telling me the elders are going to do a shepherding visit on us and IF they do they too will be shoo'ed away.

I can think of two off hand. Many here have family still plugged in to the Borg and so it's good to see what dribble they are feeding them. Also it's good preparation for us in case something comes up so we are ready to rebut.
Second is that all of us at one point "knew" that this was "the truth" and that by leaving we were putting ourselves at odds with "the only true God Jehovah" so to see shit like this reaffirms our belief that it is in fact NOT THE TRUTH and we made the right decision by leaving the Borg.
Similar to when we were in and would reaffirm that it was the truth, now we can see clearly through the FOG.

There's that term, "Spiritual Warfare" again. I wonder if the GB are preparing themselves for the butthurt they are gonna get come early next year.
Do they persevere in prayer? No, considering that Jehovah is none other than they themselves.
I will have to say, I prayed for God to give me the real truth and that prayer was answered. Less than a year later both the wife and I walked away from this nefarious religion.
Meetings became impossible AND I am much more bold in speaking about my belief now than ever. Of course that belief leaves other dubs in utter disbelief.

My beard was what started our walk from watchtard a few months back. Mind you we had not been to meetings of any kind in 6 months prior, but the beard started a rumor mill that culminated in the wife and I walking. Such a stupid rule. They need to stop having pics of ancient bible folk with beards. Even in the December broadcast they shows some fictional bible dude WITH a beard. They should stop doing that if they aren't going to allow beards worn by men.
