Why are they announcing 2019 conventions so early?

i was just told there will be international conventions in canada in 2019. .

so i looked at jw.org and i see that there's a whole bunch of conventions now listed on the site for 2019.. isn't this odd?

normally we were told the location of conventions during the first week of january.. did they realize there was less in attendance in the 2018 conventions, and want to give ppl more time to make travel arrangements??

Yes we had to coordinate “entertainment” for these deligates the last time and they chose me to take the lead in this.

It was a serious disaster as many were actually fighting to be a part of the show. A family forced themselves to be a part and they wanted to do a sing along. They had the worst voices imaginable and the guitarist that was playing along had almost 0 talent.

Sadly my hands were tied as the new elder basically made me use them and then basically took over oversight of the program.

At least the meal was good.

Eww I sure hope they don’t do all the BS they did a few years ago with the parties and talent shows. I had to coordinate ours for the deligates. It was nothing short of a disaster. The only thing entertaining about it was how poorly everything came together.

Holy Spirit was working it’s magic that day.

I can’t imaging any parent thinking this is ok for a child to listen to. Does the GB even realize who their audience is?

Special Day of Service be a Pioneer for a Day

my wife's kingdumb haul announced that next saturday is a special day of service.

we can pioneer for a day in seldom worked territory.

everone is to pack a nice brown bag lunch.

These days of “special activity” seemed great and all until the moment came when you realized that it was no different than any other day in serve-us.

Come to think of it, the Borg seems to lack the understanding of what “special” means. 🤔

It was said of a daughter of a family that moved into my hall that she claimed she was molested by an elder. We were told to watch out for her because “she liked to lie a lot and tell stories for sympathy.”

I could just tell by her attitude and way she carried herself that something was seriously wrong, but because her family was “spiritually weak” they were never taken seriously.

So yea this kind of thing probably happens more than any of us know. Just because a person is judged as “spiritually weak” doesn’t mean they can’t be trusted.

We still have a guy come over every couple of weeks to invite us to the meetings. I haven’t the heart to tell him to stuff it!! He’s too nice to be mean to. I remember how getting a bad door kind of put a damper on the whole day and I don’t want them to think I’m some bitter defecter.

let us take the only two cases of miracles jesus performed without any request from anybody which would show the very purpose of his ministry:.
