The sanctity of life in which was giving.
What's more important? The symbol of life? Or the life itself?
Any blood transfusion you take today isn't taken from a dead person. Every mention of pouring the blood on the ground in the scriptures was talking about something that had died.

EdenOne: sorry to see you go.
Some of your posts were part of the many other posts that inspired me to finally join the forum.
I wish there was a block function on this forum. I personally wouldn't block Viviane as I have no beef with her, but I can see it being a useful function for situations like yours.
Namaste, EdenOne.

Headline: "Islamic Invasion: Europe now scrambles for guns." How true is this?
by cappytan ina year to a year and a half ago, i would have taken this article at face value and believed it.. now, i realize this article comes from a dubious source.
world news daily has a die-hard right-wing bias.
so, in an effort to get real information, i'm asking my european exjw's, is this article all true?

9/11 had Saudi fingerprints all over it
Right. Obviously it took more than a handful of people to plan the attack. However, it only took a few to execute the plan. That's what I'm getting at.
ISIS could easily have a few operatives slip in among the masses of immigrants.
Does that mean that aid should not be rendered? Hell, no.
Does that mean that it would be prudent to carefully screen those seeking aid? Yes, I believe that would be the course of wisdom. (EDIT: damn watchtower vocabulary coming up on me.)
Like I said, a free-for-all of immigration isn't a good idea.

These people are not the extremist Islamists, they are running from the extremist Islamists.
No one does that journey or risks their lives at sea because they are lazy or slobs.I agree with that. These people want to better their lives. They deserve aid while their homes are literally burning.
Obviously, though, there could be a bad apple or two in the masses.
I think what scares people is that it only took a handful of bad apples to pull off 9/11. What's to prevent another handful of bad apples slipping in amidst all the chaos of this mass migration?
It's a complicated issue. It shouldn't be a free-for-all. But we also shouldn't let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. People aren't apples.

Watchtower Policy Claims Another Teenager
by Lee Elder ina tragic story of how the watchtower unduly influenced or brain washed a 14 year old jehovah's witness into martyrdom.
the real irony here is the synthetic blood that failed was a hemoglobin solution, and red blood cells are nothing but tiny doughnut shaped bags of hemoglobin.
any thinking person will conclude that if red cells are blood, then so is hemoglobin.

It would have to be titled something different than "apostate."

I wish we could form an Apostate Hospital Liaison Committee to educate doctors about how to reason with JW's. Assure them that it's usually a matter of peer pressure.
Show them how to combat the doctrine with scriptures. (The whole illustration of the shepherd saving the lamb on the sabbath. Death penalty offense, yet Jesus approved because life is more important.)
If the Apostate HLC even prevents one needless death with their efforts, wouldn't it be worth it?
A noble idea. However, it takes time and resources.

I think it will end up being Hillary vs a neanderthal or an orangutan.
Ugh. I really hope Hillary doesn't get the nomination. I don't see how she's doing so well. She has no substance!

It doesn't matter who the republican nomination is, Simon. Lefties would have something negative to say about them regardless. There's always something.
I consider myself a right-leaning moderate. But, even tough I disagree with him on some issues, I am a Bernie Sanders supporter regardless of the differences. I think he's a good candidate. The best of the Democratic field. I'm not looking to find crap in his past to snipe him and say, "Gotcha!" No one on the right that is currently running inspires my support. But Bernie does.
