Totally normal.
I'm totally indifferent towards cult activities since waking up.
But it doesn't feel like depression anymore. It feels more like enlightenment. I feel like an outsider looking in, now.
right now, at this point in my life, i feel like i should be angry, sad, upset, annoyed, whatever emotion that most of you guys here feel or have felt.. but the overwhelming feeling i get, and i have got since waking up, is indifference.. i think that this might be my subconscious coping mechanism.
when i go to the meetings or take part in any other wt related activity, i don't care.
i just really couldn't care less.. i mean, i do care, but i think it's more a fascination now about the whole thing.

while discussing being mistreated by my own jw family last night with my wife, i wanted to try to make her think critically about what shunning really is, and at its root what how beneficial it is.
earlier in the day i sent her non-apostate scholarly article on religious shunning being tantamount to psychological torture.
and most witnesses don't think into much about why they do things, its more of a "this is the way we do it, don't over think it" process.
so the wts just bought yet another corporate building in upstate ny.
this time it's a building to house a/v production a few minutes from patterson.
why they just don't build what they need on property they already own, i don't know.. http://www.loopnet.com/listing/17829130/39-mt-ebo-road-south-brewster-ny/.
wifibandit: If I recall correctly, they also had domestic pitchers of beer for like 10 bucks.
That place had pretty good wings, actually.

some jw's at my daughters door saturday morning.
they said nothing, nada, zip, zero, and just passed the mags to her and left.
is there no interaction any more?
i couldn't keep the orthodox vegan fasting for lent.
no dairy to bind the oxalates in all the soy products did a number on my stony kidneys.
so i'm reverting back to rastafari i guess.
Definitely the Tight Pants talk by Morris.
important news:.
here in the united states, on wednesday morning, march 11th at 12:35 a.m., est, barring any breaking news the day before, the program, nightline, will air as their lead story a 9-minute segment about the watchtower (jehovah's witnesses).
the program is 30 minutes long and this segment is only one part of the show.
Just an FYI to those that are like me and didn't get it. This airs TONIGHT. Yes, the title says Wednesday. However, Wednesday at 12:37 AM on the East Coast is the same as 11:37 PM on Tuesday night for the Central time zone.
It just clicked right now that this airs tonight. I was thinking it was airing Wednesday night.
For those of you who aren't dense like me, carry on.
does anyone have any links to how the mormons (or ex mormons for that matter) view the changes that the wts has made over recent years, especially the growth of jw.org and characters like caleb & sophia?.
have they noticed?
do they see similarities?
I'm sorry, but I have to say something. I'm as anti-JW as the next apostate.
However, whoever thinks that Mormon.org and JW.org look similar, either cosmetically or in the code, doesn't know what they're talking about.
All HTML code looks similar from one website to another if the persons writing the code know what they're doing.

@Roberto: They still call themselves Mormon here in the US. The main denomination's official name has been The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since around 1838. But there are other denominations that are also considered Mormon, but they are of a different organization.
