i went to the convention this past weekend in cleveland with my wife and son.
most of the session was the status quo, but here are some of observations that i believe are worth noting: .
1. i did not see a lot of jw.org advertisements and the website was not mentioned a whole lot during the session.
DOC is right. They don't read accounts reports at conventions.
However, at our's over the weekend, they did have an announcement about the "opportunity for all to express their generosity at the various contribution boxes and debit card stations throughout the facility."
so i just smoked a cigar, then came back into the office to wash it down with some bourbon... for whatever reason i was telling cappy what i smell like now, here is the list, please add your own .

for decades before leaving, i always found this contradiction so hypocritical, and one of the harshest, emotionally damaging, things that this cult does to its young.
about two months ago two very attractive ladies in their mid 30's signed on at one of the gyms i belong to.
for a while i noticed them watching me and naturally i assumed they were taking an interest in how i went about training my clients since many do before they decide to approach me and inquire about my services (i own a health and fitness consultancy).. sure enough one of them approached me a few weeks back and asked me for a business card, inquired about rates and various other aspects involved with signing on with me.
i handed her a card and explained that my client schedule was full but she should consider signing on with one of my personal trainers who still had some open spots available.

sorry had to come and rant.. been watching all the videos from the rc.
i am at day 5 and so far mr de rooy has been the worst.
many of the others are pretty bad too but at least they show they are concerned for their own fate.
since coming out of the witnesses, i have gone through a transformation in thought and in mind.
i started with the usual: i thought that jesus was god.
then i investigated more about the bible and thought that the bible was not true, given the many contradictions, failed prophecies, etc.. then i investigated evolution and read lots and now i accept evolution and natural selection as things that are true.. now, i need to make my dad rethink everything.
Also the totally useless body organ that is called the appendix did have a purpose at one time.
I read a recent study that scientists think that the appendix is meant as a digestive bacterial culture reboot system for when you get sick with something like dysentery and the bowels purge.
Edit: apparently, it's just a theory that it's a reboot system.
