  there doing this right under my nose but i just found out.

  not sure what to do but would like your help on getting me wt information on my headship role and how they shouldn't be doing this with out my permission.

  also would like some help on showing my son the ramifications on what happens to someone when they get baptized and how they'll expect him to treat me.

  I agree. The "man-up" comments are uncalled for.

  jwfacts advice seems very sound.

  Also, seeking legal redress may drive a wedge between you and your wife, but this is your son's LIFE we're talking about here. It should be a last resort, but you should definitely consider it.

  just thought i would update you guys since my 1st post last week.i haven't been to the meeting for about 2 weeks now, and maybe have like 1 or 2 hours of service combined within the past 2-3 months.

  i obviously get the love bombing from relatives when they don't see you at the hall for a while.

  my nephew is a sweet, smart, thoughtful person.

  he wants to go to college.. normally, a mom would be proud to have a son like this.. nope, not a friggin jw mom.

  apparently, he's being selfish to both her and jehovah.

  a year to a year and a half ago, i would have taken this article at face value and believed it.. now, i realize this article comes from a dubious source.

  world news daily has a die-hard right-wing bias.

  so, in an effort to get real information, i'm asking my european exjw's, is this article all true?

  GreatTeacher: certainly is. I'm able to find my own way, and I never take things at face value anymore.

  Being skeptical isn't the same as being a pessimist. I had to realize that.

  here is an idea i tested.

  works at both assemblies and conventions.

  i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.

  I think the idea of local web server via piratebox (or similar) is great but I do wonder how many people would have the cojones to sit in the sessions reading apostate material.

  With the acceptance of the use of Tablets to follow along with the meetings, it's very easy to read apostate literature during the session. This last convention, my wife was reading Crisis of Conscience while I was reading Stephen King's Firestarter.

  The headline sounds like the kind of misinformation Fox News runs all the time!

  It is very sensational, isn't it? But sometimes, things that sound sensational turn out to be true which was why I was trying to get feedback from folks on the forum that are actually over there and may have their own perspective on it.

  What a strange thing to say. The strongest evidence for unguided evolution is to be found in genetic research.

  ^^^^This. Anyone that points to DNA as "proof" of a creator and evidence against evolution has no idea what the science behind evolution actually says. They're being intellectually dishonest.

  Now, I realize this article comes from a dubious source. World News Daily has a die-hard right-wing bias.

  So, in an effort to get REAL information, I'm asking my European exJW's, is this article all true? Is it half true, mostly sensationalized? Or is it 100% false?

  Just a quick quote from the article:

  Until the refugees started flooding Europe, it was mostly hunters and sport shooters who purchased firearms. Now, people are seeking weapons for self-defense because they are worried about their personal safety. Most have never used a gun before.

  Just an FYI: I'm for offering aid to refugees in need. I'm not anti-refugee.
