Jehovah's Witnesses are such loving people with Christian personalities, are they not?

on page four you will see the active witness, its unmistakable by the lack of any structure in this persons post.. my username is mebiscuit, i decided to reply to the active witness post ;) .
Cappytan. I thought it was actually common knowledge that CTR was a Freemason? Isn't there a pyramid dedicated to him in a Pennsylvanian cemetery? How can it be conspiracy theory when it's staring you right in the face?
I'm not saying he wasn't, it's just that Freemason conspiracy theories have a bad reputation for being false, sensational and over the top. Like I said, the layperson lumps all of them together, and you end up looking like an Alex Jones type, whether you have a legitimate point or not.
(For those who don't know who Alex Jones is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Jones_(radio_host) )
There are plenty of points to discredit Jehovah's Witnesses than bringing up the possibility that their founder may have been a freemason.
i understand that many on this forum are undertaking a slow fade, over months, years even.. can i ask what is the benefit of that instead of a fast fade?.
as i understand it, the elders only have to deal judicially with people who are still active witnesses, known in the community as witnesses, having contact and influence with witnesses etc.
so surely the sooner you stop attending meetings the better.
You've got it right on the family relations part. That's the reason for a slow fade. Ease into it.
My fade ended up being fast. It was hurried along by some determined work in applying to jobs out of state. When I got one that was acceptable, we moved and immediately completely faded...we haven't even moved our cards yet...I don't know if we ever will. Family are clueless, or if they do have a clue, they don't let on.
Eventually, though, I know the question will come up. At this point, I'm ready to just be straightforward and blunt with them.

people have varied and strong feelings about politics and wars, but you can't deny the courage a sacrifice of our veterans.
too often they do not get the honor they deserve.
in this country once they come home their sacrifice and heroism is too quickly forgotten.
Big thanks to all the Veterans!
Here's hoping the principles of freedom of action and thought guide our great nation and don't fall by the wayside.
"would you do absolutely anything which the governing body instructed you to do?
for example, sell your home and possessions, move in with another witness, and send all your money to the org?".
if 'no', they're showing that they will pick and choose which org directives they will follow.
I made this mistake with my wife at one point - asking if she'd take a cyanide pill if the GB somehow managed to cherry pick some scriptures to justify it and she said she would.
Perfect opportunity to ask, "So, if that's true, how is it not a cult?"

i wanted to send you a note of "thanks" on this special day.. why is this day special, you may ask?
one year ago today, you, tony, woke me up to the fact that the governing body could not have jehovah's blessing or direction.. last year, on november 8th & 9th, 2014, the united states branch visit was broadcast to over 1,000,000 jehovah's witnesses across the country.. as i sat at the kingdom hall listening to the "historic occasion," i was ignoring certain doubts that had surfaced in the few months prior.
I wanna thank all of you for your amazing comments and support over the past year. I don't think I could have stayed sane or done it without the help from y'all.
Yes, I am one fortunate sonuvagun in that I got my wife and kids out. The kids are young, so the indoctrination isn't strong yet. We celebrated my daughter's birthday last month and took them Trick-or-Treating for the first time.
Thanks!
