  the dna code could be used to store unimaginable amounts of information.. researchers have shown that encasing the dna is glass it would remain stable and able to be recovered for more than a million years.

  by adding redundancies into the code it would still be preserved even if it did become damaged.. why didn't god think about encoding a simple "hello"?.

  One of the more interesting things about the modern age is how it seems to be actually accomplishing so many of the things that the WTS insisted could only happen "miraculously" in their New System.

  The ears of the deaf are being opened up...the blind see again...stem cell therapy has shown promise in helping the paralyzed...we may soon be able to live indefinitely...though the media sensationalizes conflicts, war is actually decreasing...famine is decreasing...deaths from pestilences are decreasing...need I go on?

  These new songs will give us further reason to praise Jehovah during the upcoming Memorial season.

  Thank you Jehovah for the new songs! I know there are so many people all over the earth that you could have helped. Refugees from Syria, People being oppressed in Somalia, Women in Saudi Arabia, etc. all could have used your help. However, instead, you gave us new songs for the Memorial! There could be no better reason to praise you!

  Merry Christmas!

  wow, 4 years!

  it has been a real journey.

  going from a devout jw, to having a close call with a loved one possibly needing a transfusion, to researching the heck out of everything, to letting it rest and go back to sleep for a while, to moving states and almost going crazy knowing all the bs they were speaking from the platform.

  the elder that was the coordinator of the boe has just left town to attend one of those infamous schools with this wife.

  the view is that he will most likely return to be appointed co. not sure he is going to stick around here for a lot longer.. i am saying this because, despite them knowing he will return when the school is over, they removed him from the coordinator position and appointed someone else.

  it was announced last night that the biggest jerk of the group of elders is now the coordinator of the boe.

  If you handle yourself right, here's the worst case scenario:

  First, new jerk-COBE will have a bee in his bonnet about his new responsibilities. He may very well notice you haven't been in service and may schedule a shepherding call.

  At this point you have two options: decline the shepherding call if your wife lets you, or accept the call.

  If you decline, he may try to insist. Just say, "No thank you! I'm sure there are others in more need of your help!" So long as you're polite in declining and don't go "1914 WAS A LIE! JET FUEL CAN'T MELT PYRAMIDS!" he'll give up eventually.

  If you accept, just nod your head, don't give any specific answers and thank him profusely after the shepherding call and go on about your business the same as before.

  Here are all the "sins" I've committed with my freedom since starting my fade:

  1. Vaping

  2. Occasional cussing

  3. Took one hit of pot (had a bad experience, so I'm not doing that again!)

  That's about it. And, actually, looking over that list, I was doing some of those things before.

  Just because you want freedom of choice doesn't mean you want to go out and have an orgy.

  I want the freedom to do what is right, not because someone tells me to or because I'll get an eternal reward, but because I decide for myself to do what is right with no strings attached.
