  Hmm...those presses are all slated to go overseas. That makes sense....cheaper import costs as well as lowered standards for production plants.

  i need to know the name of an aggressive attorney in the metro chicago area that specialized in child custody cases.

  as many of you know, i am pushing to get custody of my daughter from my ex.

  after her holding out on telling me about my daughter being molested by her stepdad, i figure it's time for a change.

  Well, thanks, CG....I already have everything together as I had an attorney in the state of Missouri. She was ready to draw up the motion for a change of custody and just wanted to make me aware of all this before I spent the money to do all this. She is a great attorney and has represented me on other occasions and we emerged triumphant. I will check out Law.com...I was hoping that someone here may have personal knowlege of an attorney that is a real shark when it comes to the custody stuff.

  Yep...those spirit folks are as real as all the horny greek gods, the characters in the tales by "The Brothers Grimm" and the tooth fairy. You can buy into it if you want, but it's just not credible to me.

  At what age do you plan to retire?

  so many people start working young in life, and expect to retire around 58 years old.

  some even retire much before that.

  but so many witnesses never expected to reach that age in this system.

  I too want to retire earlier than many. I will do so whenever it is financially possible for me to. I will always work at something, but I hope to have planned for my future enough that I will be working because I want to keep busy doing something that I CHOOSE to do, rather than becuase I don't have a pot to piss in and I have to make ends meet.

  Thanks brummie...I will email him. I sure need all the help I can get. The big problem is that I live in Tennessee, our Divorce, up to this point has been handled in Missouri, but my daughter now lives in the Chicago metro area.

  As many of you know, I am pushing to get custody of my daughter from my ex. After her holding out on telling me about my daughter being molested by her stepdad, I figure it's time for a change.

  My attorney told me that I wouldn't stand much of a chance of being successful in the state of Missouri, so she advised me to retain an attorny up there. She said she could take my money knowing that there is a good chance it would be thrown out...but that she wouldn't feel right doing that.

  So, If any of you can help me, I'd be gratefull.

  Need some info on Pistols

  i am thinking of getting a pistol and i am not sure of what kind to get.

  i went to an indoor range today and tried out a glock .45 (the smaller model) and a heavier .45. i found the glock rested well in my hand but i could shoot much more accurately with the heavier (and longer barreled) pistol.

  any way, i am looking for a home protection / target practice pistol and would like any input on what caliber to get.

  If you are wanting one strictly for home defense, Mossburg has a model HS410...which is a short barrelled .410 shotgun with a pistol grip pump. It also has a spreader choke on it so that you are more likely to hit and incapacitate an intruder without hitting your kids on the other side of the wall in their bedroom. It's a great home defense weapon. My only caution to all I've ever sold a "protection" firearm to is you have to be ready to use it....if you are going to brandish it at an invader/attacker. Mossab Ayoob has written many articles about use of lethal force and I highly recommend reading some of his works.

  Personally for me, I like a 9mm or a .40 S&W. I'm a fan of Sig Sauer...one of the nices guns in my opinion. I had sig 9mm with a 17 rnd mag. My target ammo was usually regular 115 gr. fmj military ball ammo. For my clip that I kept in it for protection, I always liked Speer's 147gr. hollowpoint. It was much heavier than most conventional 9mm ammo, so it had great knockdown...while still staying near the ballistics of lighter rounds.

  The .40 is a good caliber too. Slightly better recovery than a .45 acp, but still packs a hell of a whallop. My brother in law has a carry permit and he likes both...he's bought Taurus's compact version of both the .40 and the .45.

  Sounds like this elder was more giving you a hard time because you evidently failed to learn the #1 doctrinal truth of JW's...."Appearance is always of the Utmost importance." Same in my family...to the outside, we looked exemplary, yet noone new that the father of these well presented, pioneering, answer generating little people...was routinely molesting his daughters. Most still fondly remember what an "exemplary" family we were. I never called the elders, but after I exposed what my father was doing to my sisters...(i told my mom)...and the elders got involved..I'll never forget not doing something right, or asking the wrong question or whatever...but my father grabbed me by the throad, nearly lifting me off my feet. I'll never forget that. I too lost all respect for my father. It wasn't long after that he was "diciplining" me for something...and I looked him in the eye and told him that if he ever hit me again, it would be the last time. I would start hitting back. I was only 13, but I was already almost 6' tall...and weighed about 180. He never did try hitting me ever again.
