  No windows on Kingdom Halls?

  i just read a post on another site i belong to (non-jw related) where a person asked if anyone knew why jws do not have windows on their kingdom halls.

  a few other people responded saying that they had noticed the same thing, that they thought it was b/c the jws believe that windows are just an adornment, hence a distraction?.

  in my 20+ years of being a jw and attending quick builds, i never noticed this ... it never even dawned on me ... and now that i try to think back, i can't remember there being any windows at the khs i attended?.

  IMHO....I think the stopped putting windows in the new ones so less people could escape through them, they knew the net with all the info was coming.

  i would just like to thank everyone for the excellent posts that have appeared here on this site.

  i esp would like to thank simon for making this possible.

  i sincerely believe that the "net thang" will continue to play a role in helping jw who are sincerely searching for a confirmation that all their doubts and wondering over the years was not the result of them being spiritually weak.

  Why do I feel such so bad?

  this is the deal: i'm disfed as of 1981. i've known the shunning thing all these years.

  i have devout jw siblings and my parents are jws but not active or unreasonably devout.

  my father is 80 and my mother is 77. my mother has metastatic breast cancer and is currently receiving treatment.. .

  You were right in confronting your sister on this..I was appalled that she would even consider any compensation for caring for your parents. It shows that she has no heart and you should not let yours ache because she cried.

  JT,

  I'll always appreciate the encouragement you gave me when I made my first post. I am so thankful that I stopped lurking and reached out..If I had not I may have never come to know you and receive the blessing of your friendship. You and Lady "C" are truly wonderful and special people it shows through in your willingness to reach out to those hurting. You have put much time in doing this and I personally want to "Thank You" for doing so. Please keep us posted on what you are doing and the enjoyment in life that you are having.
