does anyone know how the baptismal vows are worded in norwegian?
i think they can be found in wt june 1, 1985. but i don't have wts that old.
i also need the page number in the norwegian edition of the 1985 wt.

Remember that this was the new questions where you basically
pledge your allegiance to the WT Organisasjon.
The "Old" questions was quite different.

historians agree that jerusalem was invaded by babylon in 586/587bce.
the wts discredits most historical records and says that jerusalem was invaded in 607bce.
the wts start with 587 and add the 70 years that jerusalem lay desolate to obtain the 607 date.. if jerusalem was invaded in 587 then it lay desolate for only 50 years (587-537=50).
Flawed? It's completely off the charts. It has been steamrolled
and rebutted in a thoroughly solid way by Carl Olof Jonson in his
book "The Gentile Times Reconsidered" which is awilable here:

looking back its amazing how many alcoholics i knew in the "borg"...................... there are 3 elders in my old hall alone........ that are full blown alcoholics...................... when, have you ever heard of someone.......anyone.......let alone and elder............ getting "dfed" for drinking too much?.
when i was at bethel........you wouldn't believe how much drinking was done there!.
there are stories of the old days ( russell & the judge)..where they would find guys passed out in front of the 124 building on sunday mornings........no big deal, just dust them off.............. and bring in.
"Da Judge" old Booze Rutherford was a macho guy who thought only sissies didn't drink.
If anyone is familiar with the Olin Moyle case they will know how much ridicule
that was heaped upon Moyle for being a "tea totaller". Since Da Judge still cast a long
shadow into the Bethel today it is no wonder his booze legacy lives on.
Another factor might be totalitarian nature of life as a JW. It is certainly a dreary
and sad existence void of much fun and exitment. So alcohol helps a lot as a means of getting away
from it all for a little while.
During the Soviet era people living there also used alcohol as an escape from their hopeless lives.
It is claimed that at any given time 60% of the Soviet population was flat drunk or getting there.
So there are many reasons for JW's to endulge in the "juice of the grape" and whatever they
prefer.

in norway, the ombudsman of children s welfare intervened and a lot of fuss were made when it was made clear that jws endorsed corporal punishment in their publications even though it was banned by law.
it was even mentioned in the national news.
the coordinator was even interviewed on tv and the day after it was proven from the wt indexes that he had been lying.... i remember it was very embarrassing.
