i have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.

i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.

maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

one thing that i have always noticed even when i was a jw is that the jw org has lots and lots and lots of rules for allsorts of stupid petty rules which make no difference.

when you read the bible you see how they are clearly in the wrong here and are acting like the pharisees themselves, who imposed so much pressure on others to conform to the law.

am i missing something here!?!?

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments, and the great ideas, i will follow some of these suggestions. I realized that i am happy that im out and have a great supporting wife and in-laws. I guess i just got fed up a little with the arrogance that the jws have. @ designs- that was a great comment, 1800+ denominations, i didnt know that, i laughed out loud when i saw that. But really just seeing how you all responded made me feel good. And i am gonna try therapy just for my own well being.

Hey everybody im pretty new on this site, but i need help.I just got into a 30 minute debate about religion, Jehovah's witnesses mostly. Now i was in the trooth for 20 years, but ive been dissed twice. The last time i was dissed for five years. never had any intention on coming back, but was guilted with my parents being in their sixties and maybe not having much time left to spend with them. When i did come back it wasnt the same, i realized that i learned to live with the shunning, and really didnt miss or need the fake friendship. So anyway that was two years ago, so im fading out, and dont plan on ever returning. But ive told my family that i dont plan on coming back to the hall, but yet they try to pull me back in. The problem is that i need to know how to show them scriptually that their in a false religion, and ya'll know thats hard to do with a witness. And i know in their blinded way, they think their helping me! I was just wondering if anyone could assist me in showing them what i knew for a long time, that the society is just a BULLSHIT publishing corporation trying to leech off of their followers! But my nephewand parents really believe they have the trooth! im just finding it hard to get my point across, Please Help!!!!

Horrible conduct by congregation Elders at my cousin's funeral.............

my cousin passed away last week from cancer at the age of 49. the cancer spread so fast it took our family by surpise.

we figured she had a couple of years instead of months.

she left 4 children(3 were baptised and 1 was disfellowshipped a couple of years ago).

Man thats crazy how they treated him, i feel real bad that it happened. And these are the same m----f-----s preaching about love and jehovah and all that crap. I hate how they treat people that dont fit in line with there perfect witness syndrome. This makes me angry and violent, but imma try to stay calm. smh......
