  What would the WT do if anti shunning laws were passed?

  what would the wt do if say, a country or countries enacted a law that made shunnung illegal?.

  punishable by time in prison or heavy fines?.

  would they have the gall to 'obey god as ruler' rather than man, and actually continue the practice in defiance of the law even though they would incur the wrath of governments?

  Hey... you cant take away all of their fun! Alot of jw's suffer from a superiority complex, and love to shun people, this might remove some of their sense of self righteousness! when i was attending some friends felt like they werent all that bad if the wasnt disfellowshipped, and enjoyed gossiping about the shunned person in the back of the hall, i should know i was dissed twice!

  Yeah i didnt want to live forever anyway, playing with panda bears and wearing khaki slacks that you get from wal-mart! i mean looking at those paradise pictures in those brochures, that life would be very boring. And then having to clean the whole earth in a suit! i probably would hang myself with a necktie!

  Hey zoik's its cool im not mad just poking fun at you a little bit. I'm just here to make new friends. I was born and raised jw's, but am trying to make a clean break. I know this organization is full of it. I knew it at 13, but had to live under my parent's roof, you know how that goes. Anyway nice to meet you and everyone else.

  HeyTimothy i know thisis a late reply, but no i live in the u.s. and you are right, you shouldn't have to explain yourself to no one. Good luck finding a church you will be comfortable at.

  thats not neccesarily true zoiks. i attend a baptist church with my wife, and there are quite a few openly gay people who are members, and no one shuns them. As a matter of fact some hold positions too. It wouldn't bother me if Timothy or anyone else wanted to come and fellowship there. It depends on where you go, you cant be judgementive like the j-dub, we are suppose to be better than that!

  the GB are double tongued serpents! everyone here knows this. The hard part is convincing family and friends still in. But if they keep exposing themselves with crap like this! it wont be long. One former friend of mine literally ran away from me when i started talking about the GB's false prophecies. lol

  just live your life and dont worry about if someone is going to accept you. Im sure your gonna find people who are gonna like you, and accept your lifestyle.
