this above moved me to question: did russell (and maybe including, rutherford, gb1.0/2.0) research plus take bits and pieces from other religions/belief systems, preaching that events like these are leading mankind to "end of the world" and combine those together for the jw r&f to believe?

as much as jws say they are neutral, they can't help but discuss politics and label them as either bad or good and somehow connect it back to their dogma.
i remember hearing them discuss it all the time when i was a jw.
i can't help but wonder what the r&f are saying about trump and the many, many controversial events surrounding him.
The GB may not mind Trump, especially since they were able to sell most or all of their Brooklyn HQ buildings to son-in-law David Kushner; so that they could build and have their hideaway compound in Upstate Warwitch. . . . . .
never have understood why sudden destruction most come after announcement of peace and security.

it’s quite affirming to see the horrific material that they’re serving up at the convention this year.
aside from blatant homophobia, the scenes at the end of the convention that are discussed on another thread stoop to new levels of fear mongering.
it seems to occur to nobody inside the organisation that this kind of material could trigger fear, deprsssion, anxiety, stress.
GB/WT are a bunch of hypocrites: While they display violence in their videos (i.e., the drama videos in 2016 RC and this upcoming one), they stomp down the mandate for the R&F not to watch action/adventure flicks and the like.
I hope that a number of PIMIs wake up after viewing this video really soon!

@ Minimus: There were many comments within NYC and other cities that WT really doesn't want the R&F to even utilize any JW dating site. As a matter of fact, there was a JW Broadcasting video approximately 2-3 years ago in which a single sister was searching/praying for a marriage mate and lamented that the Borg has explicitly warned against sites like these. Also, there was another dating site (the name escapes me right now) that was shut down due to the Borg putting pressure on the moderators of that particular site plus any JDub going to enroll on it.
Furthermore, some of my family members knew of four (4) couples who met, got engaged and eventually married via JW Match and the other site that was shut down. However, due to their finding love and marriage by way of this method, these couples, very unfortunately, were shunned by a number of JWs within their congregations and circuits. It seems like the path one uses to find love and marriage within this organization counts a great deal to others who should not have anything to do with one's personal choice!
Again, another stupid-a$$ stipulation by the H8teful Eight!
my experience in the kingdom hall was that racial discrimination and profiling was not typically practiced....that i know of.
i was in a diverse city with every type of skin color and nationality imaginable.. i’m wondering if the witnesses have changed due to the current affairs exposed by the media everyday.

As I related in my past threads, WT has quite a number of racists within. My experiences regarding the treatment of interracial couples and relationships really show the mindset of hypocritical ones in this corporation. In fact, non-JDubs (of different racial backgrounds) were and are very shocked when I told them what I went through in the Borg regarding the above.
