Did it ever become unbearable to attend another Kingdom Hall meeting?

it's becoming unbearable for me to attend another meeting.

i dread coming to the weekly sunday public talk and watchtower study.

the talks are ''repeats'' of a ''repeat.

I had a great deal of ANXIETY while I was prepping to go to the KH, CAs, RCs, ICs plus field circus. This condition caused/motivated me to attend the meetings less and less; I told the Ministry School Overseer to take me off of the School. Those elduhs in the last 2 congs I was associated with understood and promptly complied. This was a good thing because I was able to fade out slowly, without any fanfare, to become Proudly POMO! 👏🏽

what i mean by the title of this thread is what has happened to a relative of mine, one who is really upset about this factor:.

What I mean by the title of this thread is what has happened to a relative of mine, one who is really UPSET about this factor:

This relative is a distant cousin on my mother's side of the family. She studied as a child and got baptized at 14 1/2 years old. After graduating high school at 17, she took a few business office courses, so that she could after Continuing Auxiliary Pioneering, she could eventually become an RP. Due to the financial circumstances she and her family [mother and 3 siblings (1 sister and 2 brothers), as the eldest child, she searched for jobs in which she didn't have to continue any schooling. Apparently, this didn't work out. So, she ended up returning to the business school she took the earlier courses at and had to apply for a student loan. As time progressed, she enrolled in the full one-year course--the first time was for three months--and graduated with a certificate. It was enough for her to be hired as a receptionist with some extra secretarial duties at banks, insurance companies, and the like.

Now, throughout the course of time--because this all occurred since the later 1980s--she became an RP plus got involved in other VOLUNTARY Borg activities [Need-Greater F.S., Unassigned Territories, various Kingdom Hall Constructions, CAH Tour Guiding, cooking food for various Pioneer Schools, getting parts on her cong's service meetings, CAs and twice in RC dramas, to name A LOT!]. She was happy for a long while (her popularity was skyrocketing to a certain degree as well). However, she realized that as she was aging that her financial status was faltering: The jobs she was employed had given employees opportunities to apply for 401K retirement system plans in addition to more schooling at matriculated colleges/universities! She didn't take advantage of these at all!

Close to conclusion=> She now at age 55 doesn't have a retirement plan, and she has very little savings in her bank account. On the other hand, her siblings (her other sister and one of her brothers who were VZs--Visitors: Persons who studied but did not get baptized) attended college and were hired at jobs with excellent medical insurance plans, great salaries plus retirement plans! (Her other brother, who got baptized, became POMO and followed suit just like his other 2 siblings did.) She is now crying plus very worried about her finances. The real kicker is: She is now WAKING UP, seeing that ALL of the things she did for the Borg and the DONATIONS she gave to it, THEY HAVE NOT HELPED HER IN ANY SHAPE, FORM, OR FASHION regarding her life at this juncture in time. My now exdub family plus NI family have to from time to time help her since she is really in need.

I know that I always have a plethora to say! Has anyone had a similar circumstance? Plus, what are your views about this?

To Hellothere: Agreed! The GB only care about $$$$$ and their celebrity status/station in life. They really/in actuality want the WORSHIP that Almighty God is getting. Talk about COVETOUSNESS! Because they are indeed hateful towards children, women, pets and certain material possessions plus events/activities, they are in DEEP TROUBLE and will continue to be in DEEP TROUBLE for as long as they continue their 💩! ☝🏽👆

To LongHairGal: I have heard these same rumors from a number of exdubs for some time now. If this is true, this "FACT" adds to the HYPOCRISY of this cultporation. They would be using these heinous items for the protection of themselves and their own material possessions--instead of so-called RELYING ON J.G., whom they say is almighty/all power and can protect them from any type of harm. 🤨 They are CHARLATANS for damn sure! 🤬

A PPIMI (kind of a family acquaintance) remarked that GB2.0 "are so concerned about the attendance--true attendance--of the flock, to the point that they are 'praying to Jehovah' regarding how to instruct them to maintain themselves in the faith/Organization and not stray away". She also remarked that "since COVID has and is really affecting people along with apostates who are angry at the Organization", notice this: "Jah is really protecting the GB so that this disease and those enemies will not be able to penetrate them!' The kicker she loudly announced that got me and some other PIMOs plus exdubs was this=> "As for the ones who don't want to be part of the Organization anymore, the GB is being provided with GUARDS, GUNS AND OTHER AMMOs TO SHOW THESE FOLKS THAT THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HARASS NOR GET TO BOTHER THEM AT ALL! WARWICK AIN'T LIKE THE HEIGHTS (Brooklyn, NY) WHERE PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE THEM CAN GET TO THEM! HA!". 😲

That last statement really got to me, to a certain extent, in that this is the RHETORIC this cultporation is dispensing as info to its members. Yes, when GB1.0 (Sidlik, Schroeder, Swingle, etc.) were alive, Bethell was an okay-to-palatable place to visit. However, now it is a COMPOUND, where visitors have to be surveyed from the very first step to the guardpost of the entrance of the facility and throughout the WHOLE TIME of the visitations/ tours! This so-called leadership group has taken the FUN out of EVERYTHING they touch in LIFE, even within their own backyard! 🤷‍♀️🤬

Not only real estate sales, but also: car sales, and other material possessions in addition to quitting jobs! After this cult-debacle was discovered, many a dub had to shack with family members and close friends who did not go WILLY- NILLY/"CHICKEN-LITTLE-THE SKY-IS-FALLING"! frantic-panic. These dubs (no doubt SPIMIs) had to start all over again/from scratch. These are the same dubs who followed the Borg to the letter and psychologically agreed with Fred Franz when he remarked: "It is your fault! You wanted this to happen! We (the Borg) didn't have anything to do with this!" and blah, blah, blah--disavowing all knowledge, as usual! 🤨🙄😤

Which of you readers are being shunned by their relatives / friends ?

a simple " me" if you dont want to say more--or a short explanation about who is shunning you and how long has this been going on.. i'll set the ball rolling: my daughter--her husband and children; my younger son --no contact from them for 40 years...because i left their religion.. (edit--i just noticed the typo in the header--if should be of ).

Although I have siblings (7) and relatives [10: some exdubs and VZs (Visitors: people who studied but didn't get baptized)] who are presently former jws, there are 2 siblings and 4 relatives who are SPIMIs. While my siblings call only ONCE a year (to see if they can still "encourage" us to return back to the organization), we haven't heard from the SPIMI relatives since sometime in 2008 or 2009. In fact, one of my now exdub relatives, when he was PIMO, saw them at a PPIMI couple's function and was SHUNNED by them--because this relative was PPIMI and they are SPIMI (~~privileges of service~~ titles: Elduh, MS, RP, CommBethellite, etc.). Again, that's their loss! 🤷‍♀️

15 years ago there were 5 congregations now there is only one and it is still struggling.

congregations closing their doors doesn’t mean business is good.

it looks like this last one to fold had no young witnesses, they either left the religion or moved.

question for those who either aux pioneered pioneered

how many of you would have spent the hours "pioneering" if it weren't for the pats on the back and being looked up to as someone special in the congregation?

i will admit that back in late 1970's i attempted to aux pioneer during a campaign because it was promoted and seemed the right thing to do,but i didn't get the hours and it was stressful trying to...and i didn't feel like a cheerful giver.

i never attempted it again.

Aux for 15 years and an RP for 3. Sooo much pressure to become a "full-time servant" and more after becoming one: Hourly requirements, studying more than I studied for my college/uni courses, special meetings almost every month (especially when the COs would come to call during their visits), and so forth. The only time I was relieved of dealing with this TITLE was when I was taken off of the list (due to financial situations at that time/constant job searches). And I REALLY relieved that I don't have to deal with this cultcorporation any longer either!👏🏽

One exjw Reddit member mentioned that there were 9 jws sitting and standing around 1 cart! Info from this Redditor's either exjw friend/fam member that these SPIMIs and PPIMIs were not really happy to resume D2D and felt more comfortable preaching via the cart work instead. Plus, these were SPs and RPs/elduherrets, MSs and MSettes! Hmmm. . . . . . . . 🤨
