had lunch with a friend, whose a lecturer in the accounting dept.

of one of australia's best universities.

he told me he expects to lose his job at some point in the next 5 years, as the accounting dept, will disappear, as all accounting will be done by ai programs, so why teach it.. if his fears are correct, that means that any profession that involves the mind, may one day face the same future.

This is also why SAG-AFTRA [Screen Actors Guild-American Federation Of Television And Radio Artists] plus WGA [Writers' Guild Of America] are protesting nowadays. The AMPTP [Alliance Of Motion Picture and Television Producers] are endeavoring to use this technology so that they will not have to PAY actual human artists for their talents, skillsets, and profession. In fact, they want to use (and in most cases ILLEGALLY) the likeness of these professions, whether they are foreground/top billing or background/extras.

IMPHO, modern technology can be good--but only up to a certain degree where it doesn't ensure damage to people's livelihood and quality of life. As the old saying/adage goes: "Too much of a good thing can not good for you!".

i have heard from a few ppimis and several pimos that the attendants who are stationedly-assigned to the front entrances of the borgvenues (cahs and other arenas) have been checking to see if any persons (members and non-member visitors) have badges.

on the other hand, if these persons don't have one, this is what i was told that these dubs do this: corral around the non-badge-wearing individual and interrogate he/she/them plus questioning them, "why are you here?!".

also, even if that person or persons have an invitation plus showed it to these dubs, these toy cops still do that procedure.

I was told by some PIMOs who have Bethell connections that GBer Jaracz was not too enthused about the full-time and Commuter Bethellite sisters wearing jeans around HQs--even if their assignments require that type of clothing! Regarding the "toy cop" who STALKED AFTER you, that Jamowker was no doubt a COMPANY MAN with an extreme problem!

Although I, myself am Presently POMO and am looking forward to this cultporation's downfall, it still perplexes me to a certain level whereby off-street visitors (who may just be curious) are being harassed by ORDINARY-RUN-OF-THE-MILL dubs who have (some of them, not all) SELF-ESTEEM ISSUES in that they want to push their weight around and be wooly-bully to people, just also to prove a point! WT has INFLUENCED these guys (and possibly a few women) to be BIG-TALK-NO-ACTION FOLKS, in actuality/ reality. Anyone?

It's gotten to the point also because WT has not made any NO ZOOM Provisions for the RCs in some areas. Within the NYC/NJ/CT areas, the members were assigned to attend IN PERSON at The Brooklyn Circuit Assembly Hall, The Long Island City Assembly Hall, plus The Stanley Theatre in Jersey City, NJ. I heard that the numbers were smaller for all 3 BorgVenues. A close PIMO told me about the Brooklyn C.A.H. that there were less than 1,500 on Friday and less than 2,000 on Saturday and Sunday--and this location usually holds over 5,000 to 6,000 (including standing room) pre-pandemic back in the day!

WT, obviously figured that they were going to collect/amass a great deal of capital by trying to influence the members to attend physically, but alas, again they didn't common sense-wise thought about this factor: THERE AREN'T ANY GUARANTEES THAT THE ATTENDEES (DUB AND NON-DUB) ARE GOING TO DONATE THE WAY THE BORG WANTS THEM ALL TO! Pre-pandemic, some followers didn't contribute to the cultporation even during those times! This organization, which claims to be intelligent because "we serve an intelligent being", is NOT SO SMART AT ALL!

he would turn in his grave if he knew the end didn’t come by 2023.. back in the 1970s he really believed in the 75 thing.

he was so disappointed and almost blamed everyone else why the end didn’t come.

One aspect which is a GOOD THING that is occurring in the organization is that the ATTENDANCE NUMBERS are getting LESS AND LESS, as displayed by the convention tallies this convention season. ExJW Reddit and other YouTube vids are showing all of this:

what would you consider your ideal level of the internet?

as a gen x'er, i would not want to go back to the per-internet world, but i would like to go back in some specific technologies.

This is just my observation: Today's technology is quite valid and vital in terms of SAFETY AND SECURITY. Prior to "The Plugged In" Years, several who were caught in circumstances that would have required cell phones, tablets, street-installed cameras (to display what is occurring in various neighborhoods/areas), and the like have either gotten injured very badly or lost their lives. Of course, situations of maiming and/or loss of lives have and are happening now with the tech but some persons might've been spared grief with some form of today's tech. I, personally, for one am glad that these innovations exist; making somewhat LIFE easier to live.

yes, there’s a post on reddit.

it says that after a zoom meeting a request was made to baptized publishers to give $20 apiece to fix this elder’s car.. while this sounds highly irregular to me and not necessarily approved by the religion, i am not at all surprised at the nerve.

this, unfortunately, seems to be the direction that things are going there!

Since and also a good amount of JWs are on FIXED INCOMES, several may "reason" that there are dubs in their individual Congs who have incomes that can help their fellow members with a number of aspects: Rents, mortgages, car notes, bills, food, clothing, and so on. Actually, WT SHOULD--like most other organizations--be the one to provide its followers when these persons are in need/down and out. However, they DON'T CHOOSE/WANT TO DO SO! 😫🤬

WT really wants the outside world (along with their membership) to think that their organization is a PERFECT one. Everyone representing their cultporation must be PERFECT--even though humankind is not. So, when a follower makes a mistake, they DELETE these persons as if they never existed. This is HUBRISTIC on the part of the leadership. This is something JESUS CHRIST wouldn't do! (But, of course, WT is NOT Christian and is mainly a MAN-MADE CORPORATION. . . . . .)

This sounds like the "claim to fame" of other cult leaders, past and present! Many of them make/lay the claim that "God (or another respected deity) speaks to them and them only". So, impressionable-minded people would flock to this idea. Whereas these CHARLATANS WITH THEIR SNAKE OILS excite/influence the hell of these people to the degree that some become eventual followers. Again, when someone makes these and similar remarks--which DON'T PASS THE SMELL TEST--I, IMPHO, say "RUN!". ☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
