Let's not forget the blood ban. If they would "shed new light with some scripture proof as support (so-called)", then this may just to a certain degree "save their hides" so to speak. Unfortunately, this does not and would not bring back to life the other thousands to millions of Dubs and their children who became sacrificial lambs for this heinous doctrine!

I read some information from jwsurvey.org the other day and a poster ("Big B") posted the following comment (these main words I highlighted in bold) which really stood out to me:
There is no place in an modern world for this organization but watch its downward spiral into the abyss of historic oblivion as most of the Adventist Millerite movement has already taken. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are shown that the Organization is corrupt and lies through its teeth are being intellectually dishonest with nobody but themselves as this recent survey shows. These idiots that put their faith in the promises of men are not to be hated but pitied. Like the Sergei video they will die disappointed, despondent, discouraged, disillusioned, disgruntled, and angry at lost opportunities wasted on a man-made cult based on a supposition. Namely, “let us suppose Adam and Eve did not sin in Eden”.
Some ask why don’t these men see what’s going on and do the right thing? Maybe they are trying to have persecution come on the organization by the world’s governments and start the Great Tribulation on their own. Is this in the back of their delusional minds? God forbid; it will not work out for them but hasten their demise.
This poster's statement (in bold) really made me think: Would the GB and their helpers really be radical and insane enough to do something like that?! (Hopefully not to prove a point!) Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

2017 Annual Meeting

6 magazines a year.. 2. a new book is being released: remain in god's love, more of an update like how they did for the what does the bible really teach book.

Although my close family members and I did not attend the annual meeting, a sister and her son from the neighboring cong, whom we all regularly speak with, told us that "there were a few changes going to happen, but we fell asleep during a nice part of the program". She also told us that she and her son "were looking forward to going out to a dinner and a movie with some other friends from another circuit right after that annal thing!". Another brother and his small family (whom one of my sisters and a cousin bumped into while shopping at the local mall) mentioned that they fell asleep also--especially since they went to Comicon the night before, which they really enjoyed being there and couldn't stop talking about that!
I guess this "annal meeting" was really anal to some R&F this year. . . . . . . . . .

@I ownmylife=> you forgot about the blood ban: How fully indoctrinated JDubs have put their own families plus themselves at risk for this regulation--no matter what the cost! (In fact, for this reason, many people I have met up with, in different areas of my life, have mentioned that the above is the reason why they personally dislike the BORG!).

PERSECUTION (and I tell you why I named this topic title)

(1) from inside: various brothers and sisters from the cong i'm associated with/occasionally attend are being influenced--especially by pioneers, a couple of mss and their family members--to shun me, my siblings and my cousins.
three (3) of my close friends in the cong (two who are developing doubts) are really beginning to feel "the heat" from these "popular/privilege of service" ones.

I've noticed that even though I'm inactive, I'm getting treated very badly by a number people inside the BORG and outside of it.
(1) From inside: Various brothers and sisters from the cong I'm associated with/occasionally attend are being influenced--especially by pioneers, a couple of MSs and their family members--to shun me, my siblings and my cousins. Three (3) of my close friends in the cong (two who are developing doubts) are really beginning to feel "the heat" from these "popular/privilege of service" ones. But due to the fact that cong is the only English-speaking one within a 15 or more mile radius and closer to my home and my friends' homes [the cong shares the KH with a Spanish and a Russian cong; this English cong is comprised of four (4) congs: three (3) dissolved and one (1) still remaining]. These popular ones also have put pressure on single Bethelites (when Brooklyn Bethel was in existence) and single traveling brothers who came to give special talks to not conversate or even greet/say hello to me, my family members and my friends. The gossip-mill in this cong is strong and ongoing! Only two (2) out of the ten (10) elders there have spoken against slander, gossip and self-appointing marking, but they has been outnumbered by the other eight (8) elders whose family members and friends are in that clique! Very discouraging!
(2) From outside: At my workplace, both students and staff have been told by a big-mouthed supervisor (plus one of his Igor-ish spies) that I was affiliated with the BORG. I have been working at this particular venue for almost ten (10) years; and ever since 2013 I have been hearing people speaking about and against the BORG. Only four (4) students in addition to that supervisor and his minion has shown a great deal of hatred towards me. I have not informal witnessed/proseletyzed to anyone at anytime, plus when the holidays and politics are discussed, I don't get into the conversation. On a couple of occasions, this big-mouthed supervisor tried to get me to confess in front of some students and a new employee my religious beliefs. I told him upfront that "there is a division between church and state. I rather not talk about this topic, for this is not the place nor the time to discuss this subject".
I noticed that every since Scientology has been exposed, a great number of people have been also watching various YouTube videos (i.e., Marcus Vaughn, John Cedars, Kim Mikey, Christian Katja, Ex-JW Critical Thinkers, etc.) and are discovering TTATT in addition to other types of information. Furthermore, as the years have gone by in my life--especially after being hated immensely by some non-JDub relatives, neighbors, schoolmates, local business owners, coworkers and supervisors--I have become the type of JDub who, if any one would ask for me to answer their questions about the Bible and the BORG, encourage them to ask the JDubs who live in their immediate neighborhood/township during the weekdays or weekends. I wasn't cowardice: I just wanted to stopped being hated (to me/IMHO: persecuted)! I just wanted some respect and some peace! I could never understand why the GB and their helpers would want to see the R&F go through holy-hell and back for their nefarious belief system, not caring about their well-being (just as what happened to the brothers and sisters in Malawi--one aspect that helped me wake up)! Now, at my job, a few new employees (hearing that I have had an affiliation with the BORG) don't want to say anything else but hello and goodbye--and I used eat lunch with them straight for three (3) years! In fact, the Igor-ish minion spy--who hates the BORG because one of her favorite 2nd cousins studied about eight (8) years ago, got dedicated, baptized and married an "evangelizer" (she calls the cousin-in-law; he is a regular pioneer in actuality), who took the girl away from her family and the young lady does not associate with my coworker any longer (sorry for the long explanation re: the coworker's relative)--made a comment at an end-of-semesters get together awhile back that "why don't you Hiddly, leave the JWs and get excommunicated! Then some of the kids and some others will like/respect you more!!". I was so embarrassed by her comment, I got up from the table I was assigned to by the hostesses of the event and sat with my close/chummy coworkers at their assigned table. I knew that she did not like the BORG; but I didn't expect that.
Also, there is a part time employee who is a JDub who was hired in 2016. After speaking with her during her second week of work, I found out that she was in the BORG (first discovery was that she was reading in a break room JW.org on her tablet). We got to tell each other what cong we were associated with and exchanged phone numbers. During the third week, we conversed after hours. She asked me if I was a pioneer and since I lived some time ago not far from Brooklyn Heights, have I ever became a Commuter Bethelite, etc. Seeing that she was so obsessed with titles, I told her my new title: Inactive. The next sound on the other end: CRICKETS! After thinking she had hung up, she then acted as if she was getting ill and told me that she "will speak with me at another time. Got to go!". (That was during a weekend). The next Monday she only greeted me "Good Morning". She laughs and talks with the other staff members and sometimes converses with the minion-spy, but will not converse with me--and she and I have to work together regarding student information and so forth [thank goodness, we work in separate offices, six (6) doors away from each other!]. She attends a cong, in which one of my closest cousin's friend (a brother) goes to. As a matter of fact, the JDubs this sister sticks with are in a clique who have on occasional started trouble to my cousin's friend and his family members! Again, very discouraging! Oh, another factor: this chick wants to very badly confess/reveal to my supervisor and the minion that she is JDub (Hmm....she better be careful what she wishes for......).
I know I'm ranting right now--but I'm ranting/venting because I'm just really, really, really sick and beyond tired of getting the shaft/the heat because of the life course I've taken. I have now woken up--and this is the end result for being faithful to Jah! If only I had hindsight-20/20 vision re: the BORG, I would have never, ever studied nor gotten baptized!! THANKS 4 NOTHIN', WATHCTOWER!!

Another subject/aspect: MUSIC. Will mankind be able, with utilizing 100% of their brain power (according to the BORG), and allowed to be innovative plus create new varieties of musical compositions, etc.? Or, will mankind have to listen only to Kingdom Melodies and the type or class (as in classical--though nothing wrong with this genre of music in itself) that the BORG has the R&F listen to now?
If the latter in my question is to be a reality, paradise, as far as this art form is concerned, is going to be truly boring!

when i was in the jwland, i expected and was my belief that any brother/sister will help you in time of need, distress or trouble, because we were part of a "lovely organization".
but countless of times when i needed and asked for help, nobody from the org helped me.

Over 25 years ago, I was laid off my job, where the city I lived in had a number of financial crises. As a result, I had to apply for unemployment benefits. While searching for another job and eventually the benefits ran out, I told my BOEs about my predicament. They "counseled" me that I should use all BORG resources (i.e., want ads, contacting various employment agencies, etc.) to my disposal plus--wait for it--"continue to pray incessantly to Jehovah, for He provides". Also, "get and stay out in field service and you might just receive a call for an interview as a blessing!".
Being fully PIMI at the time, I followed their advice. For 2-3 long years, I was still unemployed--although I was able to temp but one 2-3 days per month--and had to go on public assistance/welfare. During this time, I made a comment to one of the elders about the BORG providing financially assistance to the R&F who are in the same situation I was in. This elder--and he called over another elder to listen to our conversation--told me that "the GB feels that it is more important for the flock to be busy within their service to Jehovah. If you keep doing what we advised you to do, you'll get a job--even if it takes towards a decade for it to happen". Although I was shocked to hear this, I found out during this time period that I was not the only one going through this turmoil: there were 8-9 other brothers and sisters in that congregation and some others within the other two neighboring congs (10-15 each approximately) enduring the same circumstances. Instead of ones such as families of elders, MSs, pioneers and the like giving any of us assistance (not monetarily per se, but some food, at least, until public assistance became available), the group of unemployed friends had to end of banding together to help each other out. As a result, most of us received help (a great deal of it) from our non-BORG family members/relatives. One of my nieces and her fiance', who were on a fixed budget, loving took out their time, energy and monies to help not only me but the others in this particular group. Seeing this, the two of them to this day have not come into the BORG--as a matter of fact, they discontinued their studies with the Dubs in their area due the above!
Again, long story short: The BORG does not give a *%^+ about the R&F when the chips are down for them financially. They hardly care less about if they live or die--as long as you give them your field service time on your deathbed before you croak!

I wish I had not gone to the meeting last night
by stillin inthe first thing i saw when i went in was the two video screens having the watchtower singers chorus doing a number.
the sound wasn't up enough to make out the song, but the video was grotesque.
the singers were swaying to the music, all independent of each other, no discipline, actually sloppy-looking.

am i right for doing this?
by Akid48 inso im not in school yet but i was rethinking over somethings that happened from that school year.i know that one person that is a jw in my school.now we had gym together but he is a grade up from me when i would do something that didnt seem right and something we shouldnt do he gave me a mean look or he would just stop hanging out and walk a way so i stoped talking to him for my own good.
i just kinda feel bad for not talking to him but if i do something that seems bad in the jw eye i feel like he might tell the elders.. and i dont need that right now.....

Akid48=> Fully indoctrinated JDubs are snitchers and informants for the BORG. My advice to you is to stay away from that kid and don't talk to him about anything personal; he could use any info you say/comment on against you. IMHO, I feel that he is two-faced, trying to cause problems for you and see you in a world of hurt. Protect yourself regarding the above situation.
