What Congregation Scandal Still Troubles You?

i was appointed as a regular pioneer in a certain congregation.

in that congregation, a very obese male pioneer seduced a nice looking married pioneer sister who had two teenage sons.

her husband was a ms. both were df'd.

A bro within a past cong used all of his literature donation $$$ to buy his breakfasts and lunches on a daily basis from various fast-food establishments. Also, he had called over to his basement apartment (he lived with a couple of non-dub relatives) some of the young boys in the cong. It was discovered around 6 years later that he was a pedo--but an elduh and 2 MSs who he got along with very well didn't push the investigation until 1 of the young kids tried to commit suicide! The cong had a marking talk and he moved away from the area to another township; from there it was rumored that he relocated outside the US.

Further, a sister and her 3 children (1 girl and 2 boys) bullied a few other quiet/respectable dubs to have them squat in their homes. The kicker was that this sister and her kids lived in an apartment within a not-so-nice neighborhood, which was within another Circuit! They visited a plethora of congs to befriend and find out how various dubs were living. If the dubs were easy-going folks and had decent-to-very nice digs, they would visit them and hold hostage the apartment or house--until those dubs got off their asses to call the BOEs and the cops to get these crazies out and off their properties!

just an observation viewing some of their on camera appearances , and their arrogance believing they are the only one`s used by god to reach and teach the people ,despite what gj said at the arc on the subject.. no doubt the gb men wear designer tailor made suits from the best tailors in nys ?

and their wives adequately provided for in a similar way ?

nothing from kmart or target ,walmart or whatever.. shoes are probably made from form fit cobblers to fit the individual ?

There was a CO's wife who got info from a very brown-nosing Super PIMI that a couple of sisters and myself wanted to get a 2nd ear piercing (this was almost 40 years ago). This CO's wife laid into all 3 of us in the front of half of my past cong's BOEs and our parents, remarking that "more than 1 ear piercing is not good for servants of Jah who want to do more in His service. It's just not a good look for true Christians!". Looking back, I'm sooo glad that I'm out of that cultcorporation [I currently have 3 ear piercings--and plan to get 2 more (1 in each lobe) soon!] 🖖

look at the new york post online today and watch the videos of mayhem and destruction to the city with fires all over manhattan.

the police vehicles are being destroyed and torched and the rioting just goes on and on.. i regularly went to nyc sometimes once a month for years.

now, who on earth would want to go to this hellhole??.

To minimus--> To correct you, this is not happening in NYC--I know about this since I live there. The mayhem and destruction is occurring within Portland, OR. Although NYC is still experiencing crime in some areas, it is not as devastating as you described. 🤨

Some dubs have complained about receiving rotten food and not receiving the same (or close to) the amount that some others have received (i.e., elduhs, MSs, RPs, plus popular dubs getting the best poultry, seafood, pasta, desserts, etc., while non-populars getting rotten vegetables and very few canned goods). Although, the Borg is "providing" the above, there are always going to be folks who are taking this "endeavor" personally and give what they want to give to certain ones while others suffer. (Hopefully, the sufferers will wake up and eventually leave!)

Vidiot--> I went on a bus tour in 2016. The tour guide sister instructs the group NOT to take any pictures of the residential buildings. "The GB and Helpers want their privacy respected by all who come and visit Bethel, but you are welcome to take pictures of other areas." She stressed this statement 4 times during the tour! Talk about a covert/suspicious/paranoid nature of ANTMO, Herd Him Talk Women's Purpose in the Borg, Steven "Marshall Applewhite's Twin Lett, etc.

District convention to be held in assembly hall instead of stadium

last night they announced that this summers district convention will be held at an assembly hall.. this is the first time i've seen this happen.

there are a couple of congregations in the same hall here and they aren't going to the same ones.

they are having multiple dates.. the hall they are going to use can only hold 1500 people max.. just wondering if maybe they just couldnt get anything bigger this year or if the falling numbers are playing a part in this decision.

True, and I'm sure that NYC was the first to do as far back as 2006. The Brooklyn Circuit Assembly Hall located on Flatbush Avenue and Aberdeen Road had its first District Convention that year, and it is still continuing to do so at present. In fact, this Assembly Hall holds Memorials with a nice number of assigned congregations since 2002. As pointed out by other posters to your thread that WT figured out the economics of holding DCs at these AHs. The only convention season this (and the other 2 AHs--Long Island City and Stanely Theatre, NJ) were not utilized was in 2014 when the International Conventions were held. Arenas which are Nassau Colesium and Citifield were the locations for those large indoctrination sessions.

yesterday, i posted a question for a friend in texas as to whom he should contact to report sexual abuse from the 1960s by a jw pioneer/elder who is now deceased.

(incidentally, there are plenty of people who are still alive and in the organization who were very aware of the circumstances and who can be summoned to give testimony regarding these accusations.

What is the financial situation for a couple who live and work at Walkill?

WT only wants non-critically thinking R&F members to remain within the Borg. They figure that these persons will be PIMI forever and never question or think to question any doctrines and especially organizational policies. Any other R&F who wake up--verbally and/or silently questioning the above--are considered apostate and enemies to "Mother". In fact, the Stepfordized PIMIs will give any and all $$$$ to the GB--without question!
