SPIMI Friend Asked Me For The Name Of My (FORMER) Congregation
by HiddlesWife ina present-spimi friend texted me to ask me the name of my congregation--which is my former and last one that i left right after becoming completely/presently pomo.
she was a longtime buddy, who was pimq-pimo-ppimi-on-occasion for many decades.
then shortly before the pandemic, she was dating a brother who was reaching out to become an ms [mind you, this guy was a mic-handler for several decades as well--until an older brother (who was a close friend of his uncle--who converted him into the cultporation years ago--encouraged him to the point of harrassing him to move up the wt corporate ladderšš¤].

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ANSWERED! I APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSES!š
What I believe is that you are ALL CORRECTā” This person could be wanting to find out my spiritual status and also wanting to know so that she can delete our longtime friendship as well [we have been friends since high school years (my parents & her parents were buddies back in the day)]. Anywhoo, this could be a strong possibility due to the fact that since she is dating that brother [who wants to move up from being a mic-handler to a MS] and she, herself is now a Continous Auxiliary Pioneer [who wants to move up to become a RP], she probably feels that her friendship-base should be consisting of D.W.Ts instead.
All things considered, I don't want to reveal that I no longer believe in WT's ideologies: Also, because I have a good number of other relatives who are still beholding to this organization; and I still have a decent line of communication with them. To add, I don't want her [or that Corporate-Ladder-Climbing BF of hersšš¤] to discover anything to the degree of finding out, contact my former cong's elders, and eventually alerting my PIMI relatives [who think that I, at this point in time, am somewhat PIMO].

@HereIam60ā” Thank you for your answer to my question. In fact, that is a very good idea. I think I will give that a try and see what her response will be.

A Present-SPIMI friend texted me to ask me the name of my congregation--which is my former and last one that I left right after becoming COMPLETELY/PRESENTLY POMO. At any rate, we would always communicate by phone and text message at least 4 times annually [she moved to another city within my state of NY, not too long ago]. Lately, I haven't heard from her since January. Then lo and behold, her text appeared saying: "Hey, what's your congregation name & are you there?!". I was quite shocked, surprised, in that I told her on other occasions the name and texted it to her approximately 2x in the past. I figured that she would check her past messages for the answer, but something else is urging me to think otherwise regarding the REAL reason why she would inquire ā¬
Ever since WT has established the program for this year's RCs, they have most likely INFLUENCED the members who are indoctrinated to the hilt to become SUSPICIOUS of other members who are not ACTIVE in this organization. The leadership wants the membership to also SIDE-EYE other members who are NOT STEPFORDS and NOT OBEYING the rhetoric heard on the daily or the weekly. This is what I'm deducing/deciphering the primary reason why she is asking.
To that end--and I don't mean to make this thread LONG-WINDED--what do you think I should do in this case? Or would any of you do in this situation? [I'm sure the answer would be simple, but just curious for a suggestion or two.]

JW light Elders?
by Mikejw inso many elders are now saying no to pretty much everything.. they are saying no to assignments and away talks.
saying no to jobs in the cong.
the cos and the super fine elders are using scripture and the elders manual to try to persuade them to step up.. many are coming off as an elder, but even more are simply saying the cost of living or other reasons they are just finding it hard to fulfill all their assignments.. if you say you want to come off the public talks list altogether they still try putting you down for some and making a fuss saying you have to give some public talks.

(IMPHO, being a D.W.Ts is aā” "THANKLESS JOB" anyways! I remark this because although they are supposed to help the membership SPIRITUALLY, they are NOT RECEIVING ANY COMPENSATION for doing so---opposite those in cleric positions within other belief systems. Pastors, deacons, priests, rabbis, etc. within other religions are being provided for; however, the GB & their enclave of cohorts are benefiting FINANCIALLY from doing the HEINOUSNESS they are doing. It's certainly NOT fair, nor ethical! š¤¬

Unbaptised publishers
by Mikejw inif a child grows up in a congregation to jw parents, they can go in the ministry even if they get to teenagers and they still havenāt become an unbaptised publisher they can still go on the ministry.
if someone comes into the truth at an older age, theyāre not allowed to go on the ministry until they are an unbaptised publisher only then can they put their first report in.
what if the child grows into his late teens and he still hasnāt become an unbaptised publisher?

For one thing, back in the day when ANTMO was a GB Member, he gave a few talks instructing Dub parents to do thisā” If their tweenie or mainly teenage children do not get baptized, they SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO OBTAIN THEIR DRIVERS' LICENSES, AT ALL! He said the above statement for it to be some sort of MANTRA, turning it to be a decision for the parents to make. I felt that this "man" was trying to INFLUENCE these adults to hold AN IMPORTANT ASPECT in a young person's life HOSTAGE---just because he or she doesn't want to become A CONVERT of a FRAUDULENT/HEINOUS BELIEF SYSTEM!
END OF RANT [until next time].

Reddit thread Warning young JWs that āSpiritual Goalsā are Not a Career!
by LongHairGal inas somebody who worked full-time when i was in the witness religion, this topic naturally caught my eye.. many of the responses are heartfelt.
there are about 90 at this point.
from what i read so far.. many are people who woke up before they got old but even these are resentful over their life being derailed with wasted time pursuing spiritual goals and having to start over at a later age getting an education/job.. i imagine born-in young jws would be most susceptible to this.. in todayās world, a ācareerā is something that earns you a living.. as many of the responses there will say: anybody who pursues āspiritual goalsā only will end up with wasted time in the end with no money and no retirement plan⦠i couldnāt agree more.. it would be a shame if this happens to yet more jws..

@LHG [+ other members]ā” This cultporation DEMONIZING higher education---+ & also other training programs in order to obtaining better employment---is HEINOUS on so many levels. This cultporation, which is a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR corporation, has its leadership PERSUADING its membership to STAY POOR & UNDEREDUCATED for the rest of their lives. The TITLES within don't amount to a hill of beans/NO VALIDITY in the real world--corporate or governmental. Many D.W.Ts*, including Bethellites, had to resort to attending educational training programs later in life to ensure that they have some viable income to support themselves: Specifically since WT is REFUSING to support their followers in these individuals' times of need, which in the majority of cases are not any fault of their own. It's damningly sad that this EXTREMELY WEALTHY COMPANY continues to cry out for MONETARY ASSISTANCE, DOESN'T WANT TO PAY TAXES---but OTOH, D.G.A.D. if their parishioners experience HARDSHIPS during their own lifetimes. UNGODLY & UNCHRISTLIKE to the maxing core!

Juneteenth being celebrated by JWs
by Anony Mous inso today i saw a group of jws i know, we were sitting down to eat at a public place and i guess they (mom and daughter) were performing at an event with their sports team⦠for juneteenth.. they (the entire team) happened to sit next to us for some fast food and i recognized them and said hi, hoping to make them uncomfortable.
they actually said hi and introduced themselves to my family, iāve seen them before (they go to the same school as one of my kids) and they usually ignore me.
i know for a fact they and their family still goes, the family patriarch is an elder etc.

Just like WT doesn't want Dubs to observe MLK, Jr.'s Birthday, they no doubt don't want Dubs to celebrate Juneteenth either. The leadership is OUT OF TOUCH with how CERTAIN aspects/things are conducted within this 2ļøā£1ļøā£ST CENTURY (for they are REACTIONARIES with their mindset-mentalities remaining in the 1940s & 1950s). The leadership will seem to NEVER ACCEPT this or any other social changes, which are NORMAL as well.

Am I a Return Visit?
by NotFormer inwell, i'm still processing this one.
saturday morning just gone.
my wife says: "there's a man in a suit at the door!

What you related is surely telling, in that Dubs will be willing to also COUNT TIME with individuals they don't know could be VZs or even POMOs. A POMO Dub friend had this happen to him:
A UUPIMI (who was no doubt new to the cong in his neighborhood) continued to leave literature and send letters to my friend's home. Info got back to him from a couple of PIMO friends [whom are making plans to fade sometime soon] that this UUPIMI was informed by a couple of elders that my POMO buddy was inactive and that this Dub should cease from having him as an RV + the Body plans to conduct a visit sometime soon. Unfortunately, due to some other UUPIMI sisters secretly encouraging him to continue, he snuck and kept on doing so. It wasn't until my friend's family members told those elders. He eventually stopped the following week. Those other UUPIMIs were quite upset and remarked: "Well, we can reach even INACTIVE ones in that manner before the elders do--and still count time. INACTIVE ones are the equivalent to WORLDLINGS; they are not doing ANYTHING for Jehovah or the organization!" SMDH! š¤¦āāļøš¤¦āāļøšš¤š”

So how do I get to "attend" a zoom meeting
by greenhornet indo you have to be invited?
is there any way of listening in on the kh meeting?

One now-POMO friend's PPIMI relative remarked that she (+ anyone else inquiring) would have to contact each different congregation's BOE to obtain that info. It seemed to me that WHQ's no doubt has the elders (& COs) QUITE PARANOID concerning this mode of communication. [SIDEBARā” ANTMO, when he was a GBer, acted as if he HATED this platform anyway and constantly reiterated for the membership to ATTEND IN PERSON, regardless of their physical statuses or conditions.š¤Øš¤]
