  Another reason Watchtower may be hurting financially

  i don't think anyone else has raised this point.

  below i set out the case that the jw demographic in usa has a steadily decreasing combined income, and as a consequence, has less money to donate.

  not only is the flock not growing, the flock is producing less wool for the borg to fleece.

  From my experience, about half of the contributions in the KH box came from just a handful of families (maybe 3), and they’d usually write a consistent check every month. The people that did this were always well-established families, and they’re getting older and dying off.

  About half of the families would give the other half of the contributions, usually in cash. (Since it was cash, it was a little harder to know, but you could tell who walked by the contribution box and slipped something in.) These families were not as stable, as far as I could tell.

  My estimate is that about half of the publishers never gave anything. Many of them were along for the social experience, some were mentally ill, in hindsight some were probably awake. This last group will be increasing. Their donators are literally dying off.

  they would hear voices or feel internal punishment within their souls.

  the answer was always—-these people were affected by the demons and they needed counseling!.

  Yeah, I remember those people too. There were always individuals in the congregation that were having problems with the demons, either because of something they bought at a yard sale or because of some other issue in their lives.

  Not coincidentally, they were also - without exception - the most emotionally needy, disturbed, and uneducated in the congregation (and that’s saying a lot in the JW org).

  They’re also the true believers.

  When you think of how this organization treats its members, it becomes obvious why so many of them suffer from mental delusions. They’re taught that Satan is after them and personally sets mental traps to get them. They’re also told that the world is going to end any day now, and it never does. They’re told that no matter how much they’re doing for Jehovah, it’s never enough. They’re told not to better themselves, that they need to spend more time selling comic books for the corporation.

  A recent WT magazine showed a man on his computer late at night, with a holographic Satan-the-Devil in lion form right next to him. These people are taught that the devil literally enters their home when they have a moment of weakness. That’s disturbing enough as it is, but for someone who has a mental illness, they’re a whole lot more likely to think they’re hearing SATAN the next time a window creaks in their old house.

  Not to mention, there's a double standard for GB, as opposed to the underling Bethelites. While underling Bethelites get kicked to the curb when their life circumstances change, GB and their wives really are considered better than everyone else.

  Usually she is well taken care of at Warwick (formerly Brooklyn) Bethel, until she dies or remarries. These women were married to men who probably knew where the proverbial skeletons are buried. Some of their widows may know a few of the secrets, too. They don't want these women speaking out.

  JW Rumor: End of the Traveling Overseer

  a friend of mine has contacts to a family with several circuit overseers and special pioneers.

  they have good connections to bethel.. he told me that the latest rumor from bethel states that the cos should be abolished in their present form.

  they have also recently begun to take cos back to bethel.. over the same channel i have already heard of the car fleet program and that the dos should be abolished.. has anyone else already heard of it?

  Currently, the circuit overseers are a huge money drain on the org. Last year, they spent USD $213,000,000 paying expenses for missionaries, Bethelites, and circuit overseers. That’s the information right out of their own 2017 yearbook.

  The way I’ve seen it, they’ve already cut back on Bethelites by 20 - 30%. They fired almost all the ‘special’ pioneers, which cut their expenses for missionaries substantially. And almost all new missionaries are already on the payroll, since the reorganization of Gilead in 2011.

  Very few DO’s actually got fired when they eliminated the DO position; most were simply reassigned as CO’s or invited to Bethel. So these guys and their wives are still on the payroll.

  The CO position is the only one of those three personnel expenses that they haven’t cut yet. And I’m sure the number crunchers at Warwick are looking for ways to cut CO’s, either by increasing the size of circuits or by eliminating them altogether.

  Eliminating CO’s has been tossed about for decades. Supposedly Knorr wanted to get rid of them back in the 70s. About 8 yrs ago a similar rumor was widely circulated on this board. There’s no question the org would love to get rid of the expense of CO’s, while still reaping the benefits of their supervision and flock beatings. Every body of elders knows that the only reason some tasks ever get accomplished in the KH is because they know the CO will be coming around to inspect the books.

  It would not be a shock to me if CO’s get the axe in the next decade, to be replaced by 2 or 3 overworked volunteer ‘circuit elders’ that would do all their work, but for free.

  (in fact, i remember a thread post here a few years back, where it was mentioned that all halls are going to get the jw.org signs on them.

  Yes, the GB have removed all signs saying "Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses" and "Watchtower" and watchtower logos from every location.

  Not quite. Watchtower logos were never officially sanctioned by the home office to be placed on Kingdom Halls at all, and the few that were on KHs have supposedly been removed (except where it is structurally difficult to do so).

  Every dedicated Kingdom Hall is expected to have its standard "Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses" sign up, in addition to the website logo.

  Speaking of KFC, if they started selling fried chicken out of the literature counter, KH attendance might actually go up!

  JWs Among the Least Educated in the US

  To be honest, it surprises me that 9% of JWs have completed a college degree. I would have thought it to be much lower. I'd be curious to see how this breaks down for JWs in rural vs urban areas, as well as different regions of the US. In rural areas (and probably Spanish congregations too), the college degree attainment for JWs has got to be somewhere between 1% and 2% - just my guess though.

  Of course, it's possible that some of the JW respondents assumed that reading an Asleep! magazine qualified as equal to a college degree, and that reading Asleep! for two consecutive issues was the equivalent of a Master's Degree.

  I wouldn't be surprised to see Tight Pants Tony somehow incorporate these statistics into his Annual Meeting talk, saying they should be proud of being the least educated people in the world, while also touting themselves as the "thinkingest people in the world."

  Faces on TV Broadcasting

  i agree that being photogenic is not given to every ordinary mortal.

  .

  but when at the beginning of every new month i am confronted with the various faces of those males showing off as a priority on tv-jw (see jw broadcating september 2017), i am asking myself if i honestly am faced with normal people, or with people who went mental already since ages ago.. is it maybe due to the fact that the majority of them already do not feel anymore like belonging to ordinary mortals ?

  This is what happens when the only qualifications to do anything in the Tower Slave International organization are "spiritual qualifications." Common sense would dictate that being an effective communicator, moderately intelligent, talented, and even a bit photogenic would be requirements for being on JW-TV, but NO! The only qualification is "spiritually qualified", which guarantees that the only people who will be anchors on this show will be their seven perfect popes, and their closest lackeys.

  It's this kind of blindness to real-world qualifications which leads to so much incompetence at Bethel and in the congregations.

  The certified accountant won't normally be handling the accounts in the congregation; it will be some pioneer/MS who graduated from homeschool and majored in window washing who can't add 8 + 7 without a calculator. Then they act surprised when money is misplaced and the books are screwed up.

  The few JW's with professional broadcasting talent won't be used for JW-TV, they'll pick the GB member who looks like Marshall Applewhite. Then they act surprised when people laugh and wonder what the heII is going on in Bethel.

  Although this is an old video, I'm glad this was posted again, now as college classes are about to start, to remind JW's and their ilk how controlling -- and hypocritical -- the Tower Slave International organization is on this issue.

  Out of one side of their mouth, they restrict their members from having any ambition in life, banishing their members to a life of low-skill wage slavery. But out of the other side of their mouth, they send out letters to congregations inviting members with professional degrees to join the elite at Bethel.

  They don't want their slaves doing anything that might make them more desirable members of society -- unless it somehow benefits the org.

  This organization relegates their slaves to a life of poverty, while ordering the donations to keep rolling in, begging for money on their slick TV show while wearing gold watches.

  Jesus had people like them in mind when he said at Matthew 23:4: "They bind up heavy loads and put them on the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger."
