I believe in evolution. But. There is a very large unexplained gap in history. Man went from dragging knuckles to upright thinking people. Human knowledge snow balled at an unexplained pace. There was a pivotal point in human evolution that no one can explain. I think there was an intervention of some kind. People in 100BC described handed down stories for generations to the best of their understanding and vocabulary.

It still makes me wonder. Pictures of the solar system have been found in Sumerian ruins that accurately depict the solar system with relative sizes of the planet in correct order. The pictures/carvings were from 10,000 BC. We didn't discover Pluto until about 1950. They knew. Just recently there is growing proof of yet another planet in a very very wide orbit. History talks of of it as Neberu (or close). It was in the Sumerian pictures. How? They new.

I wouldn't necessarily take the Bible very literally. It was a time and place where most couldn't read or right. Stories were passed done by word of mouth for many generations. It's a little bit like listening to a preschooler describe the creation of the world and animals. But there may be some truth behind it.

Why the Governing Body caught a frightful fright

it has been extensively reported on the forum that there has been a marked increase in effort over the past two years by the governing body of jehovah's witnesses to encourage an increase in monetary donations.

this has also been accompanied by the stripping of financial capital from the local congregations.

as has also been reported on this forum, this has in all probability been done to facilitate the financing of the vast new hq building project as well as the financing of the shift from a publishing company to becoming an internet based charismatic multimedia company which produces lame pixar/disney animation knock offs while simultaneously parading the governing body's ever expanding waistlines, blingy accoutrements and stupid grins.. meanwhile the financials of the organization remains as murky as ever.

I have only a couple of grad classes in accounting, but I whole fully cede to your accounting knowledge. Granted that fudging income and tax figures is very very wrong and a federal crime - would that stop them?

I think there are a lot of numbers out there. Many that will never be tracked. Would it benefit the WT, in propaganda, to fudge the numbers? Can they? Do they?

Would it help the image of the WT to falsely leak and post false profit gains even though they are not taxed. As an accountant, do you have the knowledge and the ability to scew numbers the way marketing wants you to? Be honest.

This is a company that does not make anything. People just give them money. It is 110% about brand name and public image. IF they were to drop sharply in money, and image, it's over. As a purely brand/image wouldn't they lie about their status to the public/congregations? Wouldn't fudge the numbers and shift a lot around? Wouldn't a millions a year company have teams of accountants (free volunteers) finding ways to move money an numbers beyond what you and I casually look at?

Living as Christians at the C.L.A.M this week

this weeks meeting under the section - living as 'christians', starts off with 'repentance makes a difference', which is a talk given by an elder taken from w06 11/15 27-28 par 7-9. in a nut shell it discusses those who have been disfellowshipped and then show repentance.

it then goes on to discuss reinstatement and how a certain amount of time must pass by before this can take place.

it makes the following point in the paragraph.. 'a disfellowshipped person is not automatically accepted back into the congregation after a certain amount of time has passed.

I am so confused. The Watchtower is NOT Christian. They think Jesus is just some angel. So how do they get to leap to Christian? They are at best Jewish. Make up their mind. Trinity/Christian - or GOD/Jewish. Pick one. Arius (Watchtower followers) was kicked out of the New Testament.

When and where did the Watchtower speak to GOD and were certified to speak for GOD? conform to Gods righteous requirements What? When? Where? What gives the Watchtower any right to be in judgement of anyone?

The very definition of Jesus --> Christ is an acknowledgement of the divinity of Christ. Sooo the Watchtower, like Arius, who was completely kicked out of the New Testament, should be forbidden from using Christ or Christian. To "act" like Jesus - they should call themselves "Jesus-ians". It makes no sense. "We are Christians - but we don't believe in Christ".

Who really is assigned the Congregation Charity Tax return in the congregation?

i have this poor friend that has so much to do.as an account servant.

i recently noticed that he got additional work loaded on his back by the secretary who told him that it was his responsibility to fill this register charity form return.. i remember from long ago that this was a job that the secretary had to do, but can't find it in writing.

does anyone have anything in writting on it?.

Huh. The mother ship sucks up all the money and everyone else has to file paperwork. Wouldn't you think with a hierarchical structure where they claim to own ALL property and run ALL meetings that they would handle the accounting paperwork? Are all KW independently certified as tax exempt? And maintain the filings?

I think there is something very suspicious with having every KH file their own tax paperwork about "charity" or "tax exempt" when the money get's sent to the Watchtower with absolutely no accountability. That makes every KH, tax volunteer, a complete lair if they claim charitable status. Violation of law. Every "Kingdom Hall" is in violation of tax fraud and tax evasion.

How do they claim "We sent $50,000 to the Watchtower without any idea of what it's used for"? How does that qualify anywhere as tax exempt?

That is a heck of a thing to say for all the money they have collected from unsuspecting hordes they have lied to and scared the shit out of with completely knowingly false prophecies of death and destruction and given so generously to the communities that they live in tax free (schools/fire/police/ambulance) and give so generously to their communities and the needy.

There are all kinds of conspiracy theories. Their head count and time cards are all faked by the GB, and "congregations". All the hoopla of finding tax filings and stock holdings are completely fake. They publish all those things because that's what they want you to think. It's all fake. The WT is a multi-million dollar (maybe) organization with plenty of money, and stupid volunteers to manage marketing, accounting, and any reports they want you to hear. It's a tax free org. Who's going to complain over any BS filings? The IRS? Don't think so.

They are very aware of boards like this, and I'm sure they closely watch the effects of "leaked" information. It's what they do. Propaganda. Control it. Manage it.

Would they be honest and wind it down? Beg for more money? Sell their headquarters? Or just close the doors? For sale signs suddenly everywhere and no one answering the phone? How does it end?

Loosing the contained/controlled cult and publishing company is their end. People can see there is real truth in the real world. They have lost their Nazi control of lies, control, and punishments. Everyone is free.

What in the world makes anyone believe the Watchtower reports real numbers about anything? The propaganda department is well staffed with (free) business, marketing, and accountant people.

The "numbers" all have to look good to maintain any kind of legitimacy. I will be anyone that their total attendance count, number of "time cards", income, and total value isn't anywhere close to the truth. It is a lie to the "congregations" to keep it going, and why would they ever tell a government they don't have any respect for the truth?

I doesn't it really matters what forms people find. They know you will find them. They plant information. I would. I would use you.

They count on the rebellion to spread these lies.

Yes - they have volunteers to read all this stuff and report back to the GB on the social media trends of their fake media - and yes that means their fraudulent filings. Who would ever go after them? The IRS? They are all fake filings for propaganda of sustainability and growth. It's fake.

There is no link. There is no information that they do not want you to see. This is a multi-million dollar corporation that strictly controls WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE.

They could truly be penniless for all anyone knows. All a charade to keep people believing they are real and keep giving money. How else would you end the WATCHTOWER? Faking it until the very end to get money?

What if they did end? How would it go? Millions in they back or just stop answering the phones?
