Lets just narrow history down to American history. Reflect on past protest. Did they follow the rules? NO the rules is what they were protesting. Can revolutions or civil war be done with politeness. NO! Are the entities who have or abuse the power going to say, "OK, you have a good point thank you for pointing that out!" An then turn over the power, or autourity, or assets. Hell no! Have we forgotten American histroy? HOw many laws were broken by the event called the Tea Party? Which is now considered to be done by the greatest patriots. If your are going to effect change you have to get your hands dirty(and by dirty I mena bloody) I am not saying its right but it is a reality.

I'm sorry, but I have to say this re Kim Kardashian (fluff thread, sort of)...

if she were my daughter, and kris humphries said to her what he said to ms. kim, when she voiced her concerns (again) about not wanting to move to minnesota (which she did before getting married and he "pretended" to accept), i might tell her he's the wrong guy/man, too.
no, i don't believe in divorce "just because,"... and don't know that i would tell my daughter to divorce him (she made her bed, so to say), but.... what did he say?

Why feel guilty about watching KK? She is beautiful. And she has more curves than a conrty road. Would you rather watch an old fart? Besides, you are likely paying $ to watch the program. She making lots of money so she is in no way a victum. Lighten up! And enjoy!

part of my recovery from the borg was realizing that I did not possess freedom of thought and clear thinking ability. This is because beliefs have been drilled into me for 40yrs. And they are hard to shake off. For example, for 5yrs after being DF I could not be critical of the organization much less speak out. Yet I have no problem saying something irreverent toward God. It took me 5yrs to see that this was very skewed. It took me 5yrs to ask myself "Why am I so afraid to critisize the org/borg?" The short answer is the controlling nature of the borg which I was a part of for 40yrs of my life. It is scary when you realize youhave been controlled most of your life and your thoughts are not your own. VERY SCARY! But it is part of the recovery process. This board has helped me get my freedom of thought back and clear thinking ability too. AFTER 40 GD YEARS ! Yeah you might find hate among the posts here.

protesters protest untill they feel they are heard. If they dont get the reponse they want they ramp up the protesting. History proves this. They are not there to be polite and accomidating. They are not there to follow the rules. Lets be realistic when it comes to what kind of behavior to expect.

How many double agents are there?
by logical1 inhow many are there on this board that are also still in the society, especially acting in a position of leadership?
i think it's pretty funny they always talked about how "jehovah would root out the wickedness" yet theres people on here getting invites to "zone visits" that many other blind and faithful people weren't invited to.. .
if any of you are on your way out and have the ability to give a talk before you go, you should cratifly morph a talk into discussion about the origins of the society, by the time its obvious what you're doing you will have given 100-150 people seeds of doubt before they yank you off the stage, and the fact that they would be physically escorting you off the stage when you were simply talking about the "founder" of the society should be alarming and suspicious enough to those watching.. .
