When the CO comes a knocking.

i was going to reply to another thread, but thought this might deserve a separate topic.. my observations when i was a still in.. the announcement that jesus christ (the co) is visiting our local kh.. would anyone like to "volunteer" their time, money and accommodation for jesus christ.. all ass lickers of said kh come forward to receive jesus christ.

a concerted effort for all to be out in the ministry that week, along with panicking elders visiting homes of those who have not been at the meetings for at least a week, offering "encouragement" so that the number of attendance is up for the week visit.. the self righteous in the kh who would never speak to you (pioneers included) and look down their noses at you all of a sudden start to speak to you.. during the visit, the elders are on their best behavior, thanking everyone who answers up.

the pioneers are martyring themselves by making cakes and practically washing the feet of the jesus christ.. the attendance does rise, with studies being brought along, to show jesus christ what a good little jw they are.. most indoctrinated jw's practically shoot each other to have a turn on the ministry with jesus christ!.

I have know a few co's with a God complex or at least they came across that way, I guess after years of ever changing faces brown nosing them and being over the top friendly and trying to get their attention they must feel like rock stars and some of them let it show, man I hated the cocky attitude of some, the cong always laughed at any attempt at humor (except the wives of the co's) and the pompous importance they oozed, in the real world they are nobody's and I guess they want to retain their status,

Not all co's are created equal tho, there were a couple of genuine humble human beings that you could almost tell had the meekness and warmth of JC

How many times jehovah is said in a prayer

so there was this particular elder in my hall who when giving a prayer would say "jehovah" waaaay to much it was ridiculous, we ended up having a count every time he gave prayer, most of the time it was 15-18 but once he topped 20, if u say it out loud 20 times you'll see how weird it is, like when do you ever in a conversation say someone's name that many times in 2 or so minutes,!

This week's bs, bible study help

hi all , because i'm useless and can't be bothered studying, i need some rebuttals for the excuses given in this week's bs , (i love how the acronym matches its origin) my uber dub father pleaded with me to study this week's book study as it addresses my issues with them being directed by holy spirit etc and how jah reveals things progressively , problem is i know there's a great argument to put fwd with proper preparation but i'm onto my 2nd drink of the evening and can't be assed , please unload some smoking guns i can take with me tomorrow .

JWs Excited Trump Won

many of the jws i'm still friends with on facebook are incredibly excited that trump won the american presidential race, posting, "yay!

Same down this part of the world , one FB friend said months ago in a post "I'm calling it trump will be the Armageddon president " and just now has said "I called it didn't I ? Trumpageddon , the end is nigh! " man he needs a punch in the face to wake him up , does he even know his Bible ?trump is Not much of a thief in the night more like a loud ompalompa

most , if not all of jw`s expect it to be paradise ,immediately.. how wrong can they be.. 8 billion + corpses lying around , oh thats right jehovah the magician will fix that with a wave of his wing.. their will not be education above 4th grade as higher education is frowned upon.. women will be restricted to sewing weaving and looking after their husbands needs , and looking after all the children being born to her husband and being in subjection to him.. how many women are in high profile positions in the world today ,including leaders of countries ,and other positions of power and influence ,even in male dominated fields of bygone years .. that will all be gone in the new system ,where women will be put in their place.. children will be forbidden from compettitive sports as thats not permitted anymore , no more tv games ,no more video games , no more just about anything that normal teenagers engage in today.. and no more tv except jw.org tv worldwide with no other channells.

with higher education off the table society is going to slowly sink back to the dark ages and even the stone age.. think about it .

no research in anything , not medical , scientific ,the arts music ,literature ,paintings space ,astronomy etc.etc.,simply because its not necessary now , why ?

A few years back at a convention there was a part where about 5 young guys were sitting around speculating about life in the paradise, one said I'm gonna have a home in the mountains with floor to ceiling windows and the best view, another was I'm gonna have a batch by the beach and surf every day.... I was sitting there shaking my head, even though I was in at the time, this has always been a bone of contention for me...

So everyone is continually on holiday..? Where does the hardware come from to build yr house? Who's mining iron and making nails and screws and saw blades to cut timber and who's running the glass plant with a pool of molten tin to float yr floor to ceiling glass windows on dick wad? And how u gonna get them To site? Dreamers! all this..." we'll have all the time in the world", well duh, there's only 24hrs in a day and as long as time has existed humans have helped each other out cos no one has the time or resources to do everything, that's how civilisation and communities work, the whole population can't be on holiday and all live at the beach or in the mountains in mansions sorry, where u gonna get yr bananas from? Who's gonna farm salmon and plant potatoes and roast coffee beans and everything if u out surfing all day? Wake up!

8 october 2016. china's governing communist party is set to launch a nationwide crackdown on the christian church.. by matthew carney - abc.

the communist party has just enacted much tougher laws that criminalise christians if they do not pledge loyalty to the state.. chinese president xi jinping has warned that all religions now have to become "chinese" and the new laws will attempt to bring churchgoers and their leaders under party control.. the new laws will put the state firmly in charge, giving the communist party the ability to hire and fire church leaders and change religious doctrine to make it more chinese.... that means churchgoers will have to pledge loyalty to the communist party first.. there is good reason to be afraid.

chinese authorities have already started the crackdown in the christian heartland in the southern province of zhejiang.. it's been extensive and brutal.

My parents visited China recently and said that jw.org is blocked there just like Google so I don't know how jws exist or stay up to date there

Kia Ora all, born in, approaching middle age, was never hard out Uber style but pretty regular until I built up the courage to look at jwfacts and read coc and that was it cold turkey walk away, no more friends and family are doing their best to shun me, usual story, I find TTATT to be like having cancer and getting chemo, it makes you sicker before you can get better... Nice to be here

i have far too many to name, but ill start with obscene music, gambling and cussing like a sailor.

all the while preaching to "worldly people" about their impending death at armageddon.

Elder gives a talk about being honest and I had personal business dealings with him where he lied several times about the cheque in the mail,.. 1st of many things that sprung to mind
