sunday, may 18th was my big day.

i decided to go to beth sarim, home of the princes and ancient worthies.

so i loaded up the truck and rolled out, wondering what do you do when you meet someone so ancient that the roman empire was a mere twinkling in jehovah's eye.

good info here for current jw's who did not know that the society built a Mansion in the 1920's officially for the residence of Abraham, Issac, Jacob, King David and his son Solomon, as well as others who are all called thr Ancient Worthies or The Princes who when they were to be resurrected on earth, would live in this house in San Diego! btw all should have been ressurected in 1925! but then it changed to 1930 because they never arrived. strange that! oh and this date of 1925 is more certain than 1914.. yes that is what Rutherford said in print.

i was considered "exemplary" but i defintely liked my drinking with my other fellow examples.. porn was never a terrible thing to me.

i looked.. throwing in a few extra hours and placements worked pretty well for me too..

its true. there are those who are needing support and they get it from the nice JW's who callwith the 'latest mags' that they never read. but they like having nice friendly people come and chat to them and ask how they are. and those who can be bothered to call back are generally the nicest JW's. And if they gonna come pick me them up in their nice car and take me to the kh where i can be with other nice JW's then thats fine with them.

They havent a clue what is being said from the platform but the pictures look nice

i am just thinking if there could ever be anything that would raise consciousness in the minds of millions of jws that this a completely hoax.

what could spark millions of them at once, any thoughts?..

the next generation change if done in the next year or so i think could see alot of jw's saying they're just making it up and never going back.

the 95 change saw lots of upheval in congregation where people jusr stopped going. the 2010 change also had an impact.

Homeopathy - Interesting Case in Australia

as i expect many of you can guess, i am very sceptical about unproven medical techniques, and find some of the claims made by homeopathic medicine quite ludicrous.

when i was a witness i saw lots of faith in "alternative" medicine, so long as it didn't border on anything to do with demunz, it was probably being promoted by some crank pot sister.

i agree. its like miracle wheat!

however ther are cases in my own family where i cant argue over the results they have had. deffinite improvements.

personally i think it may work for some but not for all. and that actually is the problem.

3.5 years vs. a lifetime of going door to door.

did it bug you as a witness that jesus only had to go from door to door for 3.5 years, and he was done; while he demanded that you do it for your whole life without preparing for the morrow?

i just remember a few years back reflecting on the daunting prospect of doing it my whole life if the end didn't come - "sooner rather than later".

what are your thoughts?.

if the apostles were here today do you think you would see them going door to door? or would thy veiw it like it was a waste of time and not care that it wa a ™ ?

i just cant see the apostles and first century christians going from door to door. they taught in the market place and in the synagogues. also they would have gone house to house as thats where the first century christians had where meetings. "do not forsake the gathering". does that scripture say only in one building or place. they would have met from house to house both teaching and declarig the good news.

i imagine the apostles inviting interested ones along to the local congregations home for further discussions.
