  United nations day of blue is coming...

  24 October: Global landmarks are lit as part of the 'Turn the World UN Blue' Campaign

  

  To help celebrate the UN's 70th anniversary, iconic monuments, buildings, statues, bridges, and other landmarks across the globe will be lit up blue on UN Day (24 October) as part of an exciting new global campaign which helps unite global citizens and promote the message of peace, development and human rights.

  Watch landmarks such as the Empire State Building, UN Headquarters, Tokyo's SkyTree Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Athen's Temple of Zeus, Edinburgh Castle, and many others as they "turn UN blue" to mark the founding of the UN.

  Images and videos of the lighted structures will be part of an innovative social media outreach and will be seen by millions of people around the world. Citizens will be asked to take action by sharing their "choose blue" images using the hashtag #UN70.

  "Why did Jehovah give us needs?" - An example of JW thinking...

  so i had a conversation with my brother some time ago.

  i don't entirely remember how, exactly, but the following subject came up:.

  "i wonder why god gave his earthly creatures needs... you know, like how we need water to drink, food to eat, air to breath, etc.

  Well, the thing we can all agree ...

  Whatever the NEED.... eat, sleep, rest .... it is always connected with PLEASURE.
  We enjoy life so much more, because we have pleasure living our life.

  How good is it to go to bed when you feel really tired?

  I don't feel deprived of anything having "NEEDS"....

  
  Ps: In the desert, people were taken care by God, they had food, water, and even their clothes were not getting old... Exception is when they complained about their conditions, even then, they weren t starving, they missed all the "good things of egypt"... manna seems not enough for them....God had good reasons to become angry on them, well next time your child is not appreciative of the food you prepare for them, you could think of this...

  Would Jesus have been disfellowshipped by the "Elders" of his day . . . . . .

  i bet jesus would have been df'd by the "elders" in his day.

  lets think about it, jesus hung out with "worldly" people.

  his closest friends were known prostitutes, money collectors, men of "prominence" in the world of that day, non "beleivers" of the "faith" like samaritans, and many others that todays "elders" would have deemed "unworthy".. jesus spoke against the "organization" and "elders" of his day.

  The messiah, Jesus was rejected, and killed by his own people, in a way, it was much worse than D/f as it was considered for the jew as one of the worst malediction to be killed this way!

  However many time his father showed his approbation of him, from his baptism "here s my son the beloved", to the day before his death; he spoke within the temple ...

  Everyone should seek to please God, not humans.
  As a matter of fact, there were much problems within 1st anointed Christians congregations! They were no better men than men today ...
  

  D/f is really hard, God applied himself this principle with adam and eve, when he put them out of the garden of eden....However, he made them clothes, also God treated them with dignity, and he kept listening to humans, and talking to them on special occasions...

  In the same way, elder are supposed to seek for the "lost sheep" even d/f, and keep on listening to them if they feel the need, and in any case, treat others with dignity and respect, which it s not always the case, that i can tell from my own experience....

  If you feel or see others treat you as a "black sheep", try to think that it s not how humans judge you that matters, but really Jesus (as he has received the judgment), as he said "the judgment that i speak is just", be confident if you are repentant there s nothing from which you cannot be forgiven...

  Don't forget the day Jesus died, he forgave the sinner next to him... though this dude didn't do much to be in paradise, he only had faith in Jesus!

  For lot of us, life is getting harder and tough to deal with.
  Of course, less or great good news coming, but also frustration,
  and disappointments from life, I don't believe in Politics, religions in
  general are a big business, then who to go after ?
  We could talk for a long time about it, if you have live enough
  things in this life, everyone should be able to build his own
  opinion from his own experience.

  first of all thank you for the nice welcoming messages i received !.

  as you know they are reducing bethel families to the minimum, services etc...here s what i heard from 2 different sources (one from africa, one from europe).. - "official" reason given : "end is now, no more time to build, we all need to preach!"..

  - all members are invited to go and support where the need is great in the congregations (not necessary their own), missionaries aren t sent back to their counties of origin.. - i have no info regarding huge kh building program...is it still on?

  - Uk printing will be done in germany as they cut printing need by half (every 2 months instead of every month ...the print can keep on going the same way and it will be enough for double the actual need), in a results half of the world printing facilities become useless....

  safe to say, if you walked up to any of the 8 million jehovah's witnesses on earth today and told them the.

  governing body was a fiction, not only would they refuse to believe you--they'd consider you their immediate enemy!.

  what if i told you jw's embrace a mental construct which is at odds with history?.

  seriously, they will change the midweek meeting ever so slightly.

  it is just repackaging of the same old stuff.seriously, we don't know if construction is halted for days, weeks, months, forever, or what.. we don't know if new kingdom halls will still go up, old kingdom halls will be closed and sold.

  they have laid off bethelites before and they will lay them off some more.

  Any thoughts on the real reasons for droppng the 'school"

  my thoughts are.

  1. they want to avoid being made to comply with any laws that come with anything classed as a "school" especially a school with children enrolled.. 2. the mid-week meeting has been dying in the ass for years and needs a revival.

  i predict happy -clappy-sing-a-longs to be included in the program.. anyone else have any thoughts ??

  ...I m calling this a waking up!
  

  Becoming a treasure hunter is more motivating than "Ministry school", and since elder now are supposed to go to school, not so motivating for them either to do the babes again ....

  Seen an Angel witnessing...

  here in france we received instruction to stand back from the cart.. so you can see "angels" witnessing with a cart by its own, no one around, and no one cares, i stayed a while, did my shopping, and half an hour later the "poor angel" was still there on his own.... i guess wherever is the publisher, he s hard working counting his hours..
