  I don't like "taking the lead"

  some men probably got off on the power/ego trip being a male jw gets you, but i never cared for it.

  i'm an introvert, and was an especially awkward one at that haveing been reaised in social isolation, so it was about the strangest feeling in the world when as a newly-baptized teenager (back in the day) i started to pioneer.

  i was about as green as you could get in every way but i was told i had to take the lead in the service meetings and the car group.

  I had to tell my hubby today that we are no longer jws and he is no longer my head. We are now offically partners. (good thing he agreed)

  Why do so many come come from assemblys and say, "that was the best assembly EVER!"??????? That is basically the same program I've heard all my life.

  my poor wife went to get those big ol' injections in her spine on thursday and right after she said she would like to go see her dad.

  so i dropped her off.

  she said that his stupid pioneer wife was there and was mad that she showed up.

  i feel for you TOTH, It's hard to take insults from anyone, but especially from jerks who have absolutely no room to talk! Like you I'm dealing with family who are badmouthing me to others. It hurts.

  The "Invisible" HEADSCARF and VEIL

  right this minute you already have an answer in place inside your own head that you absolutely hold to be true.. because of your "invisible" headscarf and veil your actions, your acceptance, your loyalty is driven by your submission to unchallenged ideas.

  nature is filled with winners and losers .. winners rule, dominate, lead, conquer, devour and hold sway.. losers submit, obey, follow, surrender, die or knuckle under.. .

  animals establish territory and defend their turf.

  When i was a JW I didn't mind being in "submission" because I didn't have a bully for a husband. I expected to be taken care of as the "weaker vessel" and played it to the hilt. There are many variables to the idea of submission. For example, we are ALL in submission to gravity- like it or not. We are in submission to the governments we live in. To some extent, we are even in submission to the things that make us human. Like death, sleep, eating, etc. etc. Try to rebel and see if it works.

  OPRESSION is different. Opression takes things to an unhealthy, undesirable, level.In this case, the headscarf is worse than the alternative.

  Guess what? The person I'm referring to was born a woman and and became a man. The same answer was given. I read somewhere that one out of 1000 babies are born with ambiguous(sp?) sex organs . The doc and parents make the decision as to what the gender will be. Many get it WRONG. Is this the childs fault????

  Blondie, I knew of someone who also had already undergone the surgery and was told the same thing. What a bunch of idiots!!!
